Message: Posted by: Dynamike (Dec 8, 2011 01:52PM)
Anyone available to perform in Detroit Metro area on New Year Eve? I am double booked.
Message: Posted by: Alan Munro (Dec 8, 2011 02:26PM)
I'm available, but what are the details of the gig?

It will be in a hall. There will be other entertainers there too (clowns). Babysitters will be in the room too for the children.

In one room do strolling magic for the adults from 8-9. 10-11 do magic for the kids in the kids room. Do 20 minutes of stand up for the adults in the adult room 11:30-11:50. 12 midnight, do something for the kids (games, balloons, magic, etc).

What kind of a budget is there? I'd have to bring material for 2 or 3 different types of shows. Would the show in the kids room be stand-up or strolling? Would sound be provided or would it even be an issue?

It is ok guys, I found a local person. Thanks.

That is a lot to do. The last time that I performed for NYE, there were a couple of stand-up shows, as well as a couple of sets of close-up. It was easy since I just had to bring props for 2 types of performances and I only had to drive a few miles to get there. Shows in Detroit have my mileage costs, my per diem and the cost of the performances.

Alan, While figuring the cost of going to Detroit, don’t forget the expenditure of the bullet proof vest needed when driving to the venue; and the expense of the security guard to protect your props from really disappearing from under you while you’re performing on stage

Mike;

I already own my bullet proof vest; not only that; San Francisco has decided to protect new born children by banning all hospitals in the city from performing circumcisions.

It is also legal for any person to walk the streets naked; and if you are an employee of the city, sex change operations are covered by employee health insurance.

And we have the best occupy encampments

When I went to the MGM Grand in Detroit, back in 2006, because a friend wanted to go, we really should have had a military escort. It looked bad! The parking ramp was like an oasis. I was glad to see security cameras!

Some of the suburbs aren't as bad as the city of Detroit. I've had some good times around there.

I am not knocking Detroit, blame the news media, they only report the shootings and crime, and they never report the positive because it is not as exciting.

I am sure parts of Detroit are very nice…. Except for the cold and snow

The economy is worst in and around Detroit. That is why my shows are not as heavy. It takes more work to survive. A lot of entertainers have moved down south.

Let me know if you are planning to come to Detroit in the future. I will be most happy to point them out to you. I like going to those areas at least twice a day. There will be no need for you to be in fear as we travel around because of your race. We only shoot each other in Detroit.

I find that in GR with no problem. But, she's from Flint. I could tell that she stepped up her workout, because she was even more toned than usual. :P

Mike
I have a New Years Eve gig at a country club with deep pocket females. I'm willing to bet that the bubble butt women are friendlier.

Then it would be best to keep her away from this thread.

Yes, I will visit Detroit where everyone living in the city wants you to buy American, driving my German made BMW, wearing my Swiss made watch and Italian clothing, and go to Hard Core pawn where I can pawn my vent figure on TV, then roam around the city with Dynamike looking for bubble butt, heavy women
