After being one of the lucky people to recieve a copy of this book all I can say is FANTASTIC READ!

Simple yet very practical is the best way to describe this read. Each effect/principle/method is very workable in a live setting and great for close up work. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in mentalism.

All the best with all your future releases Pablo, I certainly look forward to them!

Pete

Keep on rocking in the free world!

I received from Pablo a copy of his Amirism vol. 1, and read it with great pleasure. Even if it is not the kind of mentalism I perform, I can assure that these routines may have really a great impact; moreover, their principles can be easily adapted to different styles/presentations. These are one-to-few or parlour routines (4 out of 6), due to the physical dimension of the items involved.
The two I prefer are INYE and Participant as Momentary mindreader. The first is a coin swi*** that makes for an almost impromptu demonstration which could serve you well in those situations where you *must* do something, but may prefer to maintain some understatement while involving at least a couple of persons from the company –or from a small audience for a parlour situation.
Participant as Momentary mindreader is a flexible routine –very well thought- which one can modify, say, with a deck of images or photos instead of a deck of playing cards. It allows different presentations, too. With its six routines, all well-explained (there are also links to brief instructional videos), this booklet is surely a good deal.

Thanks Danyel for your words :) . Using other type of cards for P.as.M.M. is a great option.
Only one copy left !

I recently received a copy of Amirism and, I must say, I am very impressed at the direction of Amira's seemingly unbounded creativity. I agree wholeheartedly with Danyel's review above and have very little to add except that this work is worthy of any mentalist's attention, particularly those who specialize in working one-on-one of for small groups. (Though much is useful for parlour as well.)

Good thoughts,

Bob

Thanks Myke and Bob for your feedback on this eBook.

In Amirism Vol 1 there is something for everyone, for close-up and stage performers.
At one time I even use a modification of "Candy & Gum" for stage, it went great.

All 3 review copies are gone, thanks for your interest.

Amirisom vol 1 review

This is my first read of amiras work.
I received my free review copy yesterday and this is my first and honest thoughts on amiras book.

Candy & gum

Effect
The mentalist writes something on his card and puts it on top of a stack of business card. The performer invites a participant to play with his mind and sense an imaginary taste, his “mind ́s mouth”. The performer gives him 3 different options regarding imaginary candy.
The participant not only decides for a flavor, but also decides if he wants his candy with or without bubble gum. The performer after all that free decisions can show his impressions, proving that are 100% correct

This is the first effect in the book and to be honest I didn't think that I would like it. I was pleasantly surprised. Amira has put a nice twist on a classic effect that someone has yet to find a hands off solution too. This effect is also very simple in method, allowing you to concentrate on presentation. It also uses a principle that any mentalist should be able to easily handle. Amira provides you with some nice touches that you can apply in other routines that you may already perform.  A clever little routine that will make your mouth water.

INYE Bend 1&2

effect
The mentalist asks for a coin for a weird demonstration. The participant puts his coin in the performer’s open left hand. After a few moments of concentration the performer asks for the participant’s energy and has him place his hands on top of the performer’s fist. The participant can feel a warm sensation in his hands and after that, the coin that he placed in the performers palm starts to bend as if it was effected by psychokinesis.

Amira provides you with two very cool techniques to sw###h a coin in a psychokinetic coin routine. Amira provides you with two links to videos teaching you the workings of the sw#####s too. He also provides you with tips on how to b##d a coin (without using your mind). Easy and natural looking sw#####s that you can add to your coin B##d routine straight away.

Participant as Momentary Mindreader

Effect
After a mindreading moment, the mentalist proclaims that anyone with the correct state of mind can create wonder.
He asks a participant to think of a playing card, and invites an open minded participant to read the identity of the playing card, proving that everyone has the capacity to perceive other thoughts.

This was my least favourite of the book. Although I have my own methods for this concept I really don't like the concept at all. I think it gives the impression that what we do (mind reading) anyone can do.

Amira gives you a simple method so that you can take any pack of cards and create the effect of participant is a mind reader. Photos are provided and you will be able to perform this miracle straight away.

IPD
An interesting impromptu p##k of a business card. Very simple and deceptive.
Again you are provided with a link to a video of the p##k in action.

Directervil
Amira has saved the best until last. This was my favourite in the book.

Performer writes something on a card and places it in his breast pocket.
3 people are then asked to write their thoughts on a card. Performer takes out his prediction and everything matches.

Very bold in method and something that I have played with before.
Definitely the best effect in the book as far as I'm concerned.
Nice thinking.

Overall the book is 35 pages of which 8 is either blank or has advertising on, so let's say the book is 27 pages.
The book is well written and it is clear that Amira knows how to put a simple method in to a very nice routine.
All of the effects in the book you will be able to perform almost immediately. You are also provided with pictures and
video links throughout the book making the methods and effects easy to understand.

You are provided with possible dialogue for each effect. Crediting and inspiration are given at the end of each explanation.

For $14.99 you can't go wrong, the last effect is worth that on its own.

Correction, regarding pages.

Its 29 pages long.

I forgot to mention Gaureteed applause.
A nice routine to get any audience to stand up and congratulate you on your mind reading skills.

This is great if you have the person who is hiring you on the next table. Guaranteed to get you a rebooking.

Kind regards
Myke Phillips

Thanks for the comments Myke.

Actually the eBook has 4 blank pages ( 2 on the beginning and 2 on the end). That is just for design purposes.
Any book has one or a couple of blank pages, at the end 2 pages on an eBook are 1 page on a printed document, but although I leave some of the pages blank, I am truly confident that the pages that have text, have good text ;)

As many of you know I am a great fan of Pablo Amirà work and I have just finish to read his latest work Amirism volume 1.
Is filled of really good stuff and anyone can find something to add to the repertoire for close up and stage mentalism.
The directervil routine only is worth the price of this book!

I had a chance to read Amirism in the past couple of days and I have to say that I liked it a lot. I agree with everything that has already been written about this ebook and as Myke said it includes 6 routines, all of them quite versatile for most performance situations and the methods are very good.
The explanations are very detailed and well structured, they're accompanied by images and also videos which help to understand certain details of the routines that would otherwise be harder to grasp.
Now on a more personal note, I have read almost everything that Pablo has published and I have to say that I'm quite happy to see that he is again publishing routines(on purpose or not) closer to what was published in "Mysteries Anywhere" and "Mysteries Anywhere 2". The type of routines, themes and explanations felt to me quite similar to those two publications(which are among my favourite ebooks ever) but again, this were my personal feelings when I was reading this ebook and I have no idea if it was Pablo's intention or not.

I only found some minor cons in this ebook: first I think that when Pablo refers to some techniques he could have included some more in depth detail on where exactly each technique was published(he includes the author's name and I personally had no problem knowing where the techniques are explained but I come from a close-up background). There were also some minor typos but nothing too serious.

Anyway this is a great ebook, 6 solid routines are offered, well explained, well illustrated, accompanied by videos in many cases...you can't go wrong with this one.

I just finished reading Amirism Vol 1 and I must say that Pablo's ideas are not just clever, they are practical. I enjoy the way the book is formatted in that he is clear in describing the "powers" associated with the effects he describes.

I agree with the reviewers above in regards to the content of the book. Directervil is excellent and I really like IPD for a full biz card peek. I'll admit that when I read IPD I was skeptical but when I saw the video that Pablo includes in the ebook, I was sold. I've been road testing IPD and it is solid, very deceptive and easy to do. IPD is now a weapon in my arsenal.

This is a great ebook!!! I'm now looking forward to Vol. 2

I got this quite a few weeks ago.
I've been so busy lately that I had not had the chance to read it.
Finally I saved some time today to take a look at it.
ARGGGGG!
Why did I wait so much to read this?
This is all cool, practical, prop-less mentalism.
Directervil Wins the Price ! This was my favorite in the book, after I read it, I was a little confused about a "movement" but I contacted Pablo and he explained it to me. This is REALLY CLEVER.

Hi All,

I was kindly selected to review this by Pablo, and it is fantastic as many of his offerings are.

A couple of the effects are not my thing as they tend to sit in the magic camp than the mentalist one obviously this is a bonus to the purchaser as it gives the " other side " something for them lol

I have to agree with Luca and a couple of others that the standout effect in this book is Directorvil.

Well worth the investment.

Regards
Rob.

Amirism Vol 1 offers guidance to mentalists (particularly aspiring ones) in the process of performing. For example, in a piece titled I Need Your Energy, as the title suggests, there is guidance not just on handling and substituting coins, but on handling and involving the audience.

Although Applause Guaranteed is an effect which uses simple card sleights, it is the premise, presentation and motivations for action which produce the mystery.

In another effect, one participant is cued by a clever move to intuit a selection made by another member of the audience. This is an effect which is easy to do and I plan to use it in impromptu situations.

A more sustained mind-reading effect is included in which written thoughts of audience members are ‘intuited’. Here, the staging, presentation and methodology blend together to demonstrate a method of combining features which are so important in mentalism presentation.

Thanks Pablo for sending me a copy of this manuscript. You have put a lot of thought into it and I will enjoy reading it again. I’m sure others will as well.

Thanks a lot Nefesch, Rob and John for your sincere words on Amirism Vol 1

Some weeks ago I sent an extra idea in video format, an alternative version of IPD (Ran Pink´s IPD 2.0) that works beautifully, just as the original.
Any question regarding this material you can contact me thru email.

I only discovered Pablo today via Lybrary.
Is Pareidolia Thoughts anything like his other ebooks?
I'm not interested in playing cards or ESP cards, only mentalism, which might include business cards.

Hi guys,

I'm just a new guy in Mentalism but Pablo's Amirism Vol 1 is fanstactic, another good ebook for beginners ! All of his effects in this ebook are very easy to find props ( I really like this because in Vietnam, I can't find manila envelopes or some other things for mentalism except blank cards). I really like the IDP because it works perfectly with my billet act all the time. It's very casual, invisible but POWERFUL. I mostly perform with cards so Participant as Momentary Mindreader is the next favorite effect of mine. This routine is very easy to do but very powerful to make people shock. I will definately perform this effect all the time. Overall, all of Pablo's stuffs are amazing, practical, easy but powerful and awesome. If I can give this ebook a score, I will mark it: 9.8/10 :) Nice job Pablo, I hope you will publish more awesome stuffs like this.
