Topic: Date calculation, help needed
Message: Posted by: Vision (Oct 3, 2003 02:02PM)
Hello there!

I would like to know a simple way to calculate if a date of the year is on an even or odd week. Can anybody help me with that?

Sincerly,
Daniel Young

The usual stunt is, given a date, you name the day of the week it falls on in a given year. I know two methods and combined them to how I do it now.

There are variations, of course, but I'm of no help in calculating even or odd weeks of the year.

Daniel,

There are several very talented people who visit the Magical Equations forum who would love to work on just this kind of problem. Post your question in the Magical Equations forum and I almost guarantee you one of those bright minds will come up with a method! (Tell them Landmark sent you).

didn't know it was in Corinda, and since I don't have my copy in this country I couldn't check up on it.

Thanks again,
Daniel

ps. I did come up with a better idea anyway :) ds.

The Effect "You were There" by Jack Dean does all of that for you, built into the effect. It is sold by AB Stagecraft.

Just odd because he was asking for what week in the year a given date falls on. This is not usually part of the day of week routine or calculations.
