Topic: Fun competition - win something spooky |
Ok, here's the rules... 1 entry per person no famous or political names to be used You have to post up what you would consider to be the spookiest/oddest/scariest line you'd never want to hear, whispered by unseen forces in the dark... the winner gets something of mine that's just been released (and is appropriate to spooky stuff)... game ends my time, on sunday afternoon... |
"You're next..." |
"I have taken everybody you ever loved... I have taken all you were and all you could be and left you as empty as this cloak I wear...I have taken your very heart...Your very soul...next time I call...I take you..." |
" I have her, its hard to imagine how much I am enjoying her screams of pain. her fear is intoxicating. just thought I would share "...loud terror filled shriek.... this was a dream that haunted me for a bit. having a daughter to protect makes all my other fears ridiculous by comparison. |
From the film unbreakable - this scene and line has always sticked with me as disturbing in many ways Orange Suit Man: I like your house. Can I come in? |
Boo |
"The call is coming from inside the house" |
"I'm not going to kill you..... the fun is just about to begin.... If I killed you.... the fun is over....now.... where should I make the first incision?....and don't bother screaming... it's 10 miles to the nearest house or road." Cheers Frank |
"Your time has come!" -Max |
"I'll be waiting for you..." |
"That's Not My,Finger!" |
My keen edged blade will caress your daughters slender neck like the cold night wind. K. |
As a teenager a call by the parents: We will come home earlier from our holiday as intended... |
"You shall. Never. Ever. Sleep again..." This is genuinely the fear that would haunt those 72 hour weekends on call as a junior.... |
"The witches are hungry" |
"I'm sorry, but our records show you did not select unlimited texting for your child's account." |
"It puts the lotion in the basket, or else it gets the hose again." |
"Daddy? I'm back..." |
How lucky, you are first... |
I think the simplest is usually the most effective, especially when it's something vague. Just the whisper of "Soon..." in a creepy voice would be enough to freak me out. It might be even more powerful if it's subtly said so that people aren't 100% sure they heard it, or better yet some people are CERTAIN they heard it and others think they're nuts :D |
A close second for a bit more direct effect would be "I'm coming for you" mwahahahaah |
This has happened to me when I was sixteen so it freightened me out until this very day (it happened 9 years ago) I will write up the whole story so you get the idea: I was reading a book while it was raining out (thunder and all). The lights went dark and I heard someone laughing at the backdoor. It was a witches' laugh. I can assure you that it had quit an impact on me. I still sleep with the lights on and some music so I don't hear every sound. |
Sometimes when I try to sleep at night I'll hallucinate noises such as swords being drawn and a voice whispering my name. I feel it is probably the most scary to just hear your own name be whispered by a unseen force. Also the voice of a demonic young child is scary no matter what it says. Thanks, Brad |
Whoa. I swear I thought I heard a sword being drawn last night as I was falling asleep and it freaked me out. I knew it wasn't possible yet it really freaked me out, my heart was racing :-/ |
"...I'm waiting....." Creepy. Could be hopeful. Everything is made up in the listener's mind. Isn't that where the scary stuff really happens? |

The bell toll's for all of us Erick, Tonight it toll's for you..... |
Child's voice in the dark....in place where there would be no children: *Giggle* "Play with me......" |
You're next..... |
Its time to leave this world come with me by the way we are not going to heaven |
You ARE the father! Jamie |
"That's no pillow!!!" |
That which you fear most, shall seek you out before the dawn... |
"It's behind you... And it's too late!" |
"Now then, now then, let's see what Uncle Jimmy has got for you...." |
I'm,Rick James...*itch ! |
"Enough with the past and the present......now I will foresee your future" |
"when you close your eyes and go to sleep you will dream of the great failures of your life; the times you failed your friends, failed your loved ones and failed yourself... there will be no waking from this dream, you are doomed to relive these moments over and over for ever!" |
Heaven?..Hell?...We can only wish and dream. |

Let me tell you about Amway . . . |

"No... it wasn't the Queen of Hearts" |
"I know where your children are playing..." |
We've been waiting for you... |
Hurrm. |
When you think you're alone, we are always there..watching... |
It is more of the set up and delivery then the phrase itself: Imagine suddenly waking in the middle of night. You're not quite sure why. Did you hear something that startled you? It is dead quiet, but you're on alert and awake. So you decide to get out of bed and check your house. Just as you walk through your bedroom door the air chills slightly. You begin to walk down your dark hallway and hear the faint sound of old dry rope twisting, creaking as if it were taunt from a heavy weight. You stop to listen, but as soon as you do, it fades. As you begin to walk down the hall the twisting rope seems to start again. You stop. Silence. You wait to see if it will start again. Nothing. You're about to start down the hall again, when you hear what sounds like a few knuckles cracking right behind you. You pause, about to turn when you hear a harsh whisper in your right ear: "Good-bye" |
"The shadows are watching, they see your heart and they know the things hidden from the rest of the world. The shadows are watching..." hope that's spooky enough and what you're looking for! regards, Jordan |
"There's still hope." |
"Tomorrow" |
One night when I laid down to sleep quite early, I was sleeping quite lightly (and still aware of my room) and I heard a very familiar voice (I know who it was) say just my name in quite a normal tone. It seriously sounded as if it was within inches of face. I bolted out of bed and had my back pressed against the bedroom window before I was even conscious that I had moved at all. Nobody there at all, just my paranoia, but scared me for a week, even with a lock on my bedroom door Maybe there isn't one universal word or sentance, but certain 'buzz words' that will affect different people depending upon their experiences??? |
"Time's up." |
Joint winners (well, you don't win one of those)... kotah and al desmond, please send me a pm with your email details please.. kotah for the classic approach with a poetic touch, and al desmond because it would mean a magician had snuck into my bedroom... thanks for playing... |
You didn't see me in your bedroom? Nice Walpaper btw... was it the nine of spades then? |
IAIN ,PDF email arrived just moments ago. I'm anxious to begin reading this material. Still in shock over having been selected as one of the winners. Thank you Brother Kotah |
Imaginary Mediumship, from page one to fifty six, this is a marvelous manuscript of joy. This is a wonderful collection of simple yet strong effects. Kudos to Brother Dunford and this creative effort. Very entertaining read. Kotah |
Oh man kotah your lucky bro, I got some of Iain's other pdf reading systems. he has a good feel for workable items. |
Michael, how right you are, I am fortunate indeed. But the way I panned Iain's work was inadequate. For A glowing, full take on it , I Suggest your read the comments posted by Christopher Gould in a segment/ a thread begunby Vernon on Coins in this spooky section Christopher offers the justice Iain's PDF deserves. IT will give you all the insights and facts you'll need. YOu'll see it as far more than a collection of tricks as I ineptly and incorrectly implied it was. Kotah |
Just thought of this spooky saying even though contest is over. "Tomorrow. Tomorrow. I'll love you, tomorrow.......you're only a day away" Imagine someone whispering THAT into your ear with the lights off. |
Death it is. . .but first, the aristocrats! |
Thanks Iain, I've been on the road so I didn't get a chance to say thanks until now. I'll be reading the manuscript when I get home, right now it's "stuck" on my Iphone. |
