Congratulations to Bill: he may be less into magic and more into accordeon nowadays but the magic in him never abandonned him.

Congrats, Bill. She must be some special lady. Not many would marry a Magician and an Accordion Player!

Congrats Bill!

May your biggest problem in life be: Finding an accordion/banjo band to play the reception.
Message: Posted by: foolsnobody (Feb 4, 2013 12:55AM)
Doesn't Bill play the banjo too? Even more amazing. Hey Bill, do you know why the sax player kept his ax in a banjo case for gigs?

To prevent it from being stolen. <rim shot>

It's old. Bill's heard it a million times. Congratulations anyway Bill!

That was easy to solve. We are having two different bands. Santiago Jimenez, Jr. is coming in from San Antonio with his band to play for a couple of hours. Then Chris Hirsch and the Lonestar Bluegrass Band will be playing for two hours.

Julie also plays the banjo and the guitar. She was one of my guitar students about 40 years ago.

Egad! (as Jay would say) How did I miss adding my best wishes???
I must be getting old..............NAAAH..I AM OLD!

Hey Bill>>> What's the difference between an accordion, and an onion?

No one cries when you cut up an accordion!

Old showbiz wise saying: Never try to follow the banjo act!

Very best wishes!

Thanks, Dick!

BTW, to the rest of you on this forum, when I was just starting out as a professional magician, Dick came through Houston and did a lecture for our magic club that literally changed the way I thought about magic. He brought things into sharp focus for me.

I believe that I referred to this in one of my earlier posts.

He asked a simple question -- "How much magic do you own?"

The answer surprised all of us.

I'll let him tell you about it.

I would LOVE to know the answer.

I never visited with a 'silver ball' before!!! --hee hee.....

Hi Zombie!

I do recall doing a lecture in Houston (a memory challenge for this writer's ancient mind) I think, Bob Karlebach set it up. I was enroute home from my second lecture at the (ahem) Magic Castle. (I also did a week in the Parlor and a matinee for the young folks on Sunday) The Castle hasn't been the same since. (I think they tried fumigating!!!)

Bill wrote up his comment about "...how much magic do you own?..." in one of the forum(s) whose title I can't remember at the moment. I'll look it up and post it here threethwith (that's faster than forthwith!

Then, you can dig into the archives and read his word directly. In case you don't check in HERE very often, I'll also PM you with the appropriate forum and date.

I feel quite honored that my philosophy (egad! now I'm a philosopher??)made such an impression on a man of Bill Palmer's stature. --
And, also that you,who have obviously been "around" for a 'day or two", would "...love to know the answer..."

A sincere thank you for your interest!

These "infernal electrisch peckenclackers" do have their uses!

If you will visit A FAMILY TRADITION (This 'table' is way in the back corner of the Café, next to the kitchen door and the bus boyscart)and scroll (love that word)down to a post by Bill Palmer (dated 9-10-11) you will find Bill's comments on a point that I make in my lecture. Michael Baker follows with another comment. A few more compliments follow those! (I had to go buy a bigger hat, after that!)
