Topic: Fabric Suspension or Levitation!?
Message: Posted by: David Garrity (Mar 16, 2013 01:01AM)
I seem to remember seeing a plan for a suspension or levitation illusion that used fabric blown up from the floor by a fan. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I can't remember if I saw it in one of the magic magazines or one of Paul Osborne's books or elsewhere. Thanks in advance for the help!

Sincerely,
David

David,

Tony Spina's Silkspension is in Paul Osborne's Illusion systems book two. It utilises a stage setup, and more complicated to a normal suspension but is a great alternative.

Thanks Jon,

That could be it. I'll take a look at the book. I could have sworn I had seen one Paul designed with fans blowing the fabric up. I could be losing my mind, too!

Sincerely,
David

David,

You're not losing your mind.

Silkspension starts with large silks blowing upwards by small fans before the lady is suspended.

Very cool ... I think we played with that in the shop a few years ago!

Craig,

I love the slide! Can the prop be made slightly longer from side to side? Is it available for sale?

Sincerely,
David
