Topic: Realistic Fake broken Glass Bottle?
Message: Posted by: Head Case (Apr 6, 2013 06:41PM)
I figured this might be the best place to ask, I know noting about glass walking, etc... I don't intend of doing it either haha.

All I'm looking for is if they make a single fake broken glass bottle? - Something that looks just like a real broken bottle in pieces, and sounds like it too...But maybe the glass is treated or coated with something that keeps it from breaking apart anymore, and the edges arnt sharp? (something I can re-use over and over and just pass off as the real thing so I don't need to break a real bottle prior to every show)

Im planning on using it as part of a knife stab style routine.

Google "sugar glass bottles", that might fit your needs.

Unless you need "safe glass", real bottles are going to be *much* cheaper than sugar glass.

And they won't stick to you the same way.

Sugar glass breaks far too easily, and it's expensive. Can you get someone to do something in a plastic material?

Isn't there a commercial routine for sale, using a broken bottle?

Yes Harley, Scott Alexander's broken bottle roulette! I think it's called shattered. Norm Neilson sells it.

It is VERY good and it is on Scots Midnight show DVD as well. I think your right about it being called shattered. Must look that out again .... its great fun to watch and perform.
