This would be great if it could become an Illusion Routine.

It's been done.
Old criss angle did this
Built a robot from various parts and then it became him

Yup, but I meant with a girl...

With her angst in becoming a "real person" like in the video

That's the strength, not just the illusion.

It would be so cool.

Criss Angel's version was too "freaky" for my taste.

Criss Angel's was too freaky, and this was not? That video is incredibly disturbing and brings up moral questions on so many levels.

Which is, I guess, what theater and drama is about.

Nothing new here, this exact story has been part of the New Outer Limits television show from years ago. They are in rerun. Most have killed their owners or attempted to take over the World. It is a good topic that should be considered. Sci-Fi is always interesting.

Especially, "WE ARE BORG, WE WILL ASIMILATE YOU!!" :)

And that IS my point.

It will hit people on so many levels.

Criss Angel's version with the crane, smoke and all was just pandering to the optical illusion side of it.

This has a whole storyline going for it.

Surprised no one mentioned Mike Michaels and his Robot Act. :)

Yes, I would say 'Bicentennial Man' and the 'Terminator' series are more applicable.

But yes, this would take Mike Michaels robot-themed act to even deeper emotional depths.

Mike Michaels and Sylvester The Jester already worked out the methods.

But the Drama has yet to be staged.

Um... It's hard thing to make real person become assembled.

I can't check out for Fu manchu and Jim steinmeyer(and steinmeyer's has no hint on common internet).
So I can just say about Disappearing Girl and Tenko version of Vampire.
but These two illusion effects are using drapes and b******* - and they have different concepts.

What I think which is most alike with first movie is Invisible man illusion of Aaron Radatz.
He made the illusion the realistic one.

The Robot you can find in the book: Illusion builder to Fu Manchu.
You can find Palingenesia on you tube.

Concepts different from what??

To be clear: Radatz' version is copyrighted, as far as I know.
