Anyone remember the birth of MTV... when they actually played videos? I spent most of my time outside the classroom vegging on the couch to MTV in '81. This book, a light read with 5-page chapters, does bring back some fond memories, and some behind the scenes anecdotes. Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter and Martha Quinn (with previous writings from deceased J.J Jackson). Fun to read that Frank Zappa was one of the most obnoxious interviews ever. And also that I was not the only one obsessed with Martha (I thought everyone was lusting after Nina and I would have Miss Quinn to myself!)

Those were some good times. MTV used to be fun to watch back then. I stopped watching it many years ago.
