Topic: Any market for a locking version of Matchbox Mystery |

I don't like the fact that while it can be sort of examined by spectators, if you have a group that really likes to look at / poke / prod things, they could discover the secret. While this doesn't apply in general, I know that I have a group of people (family / friends) for which I prefer to perform things which are totally examinable. They know that there are secrets, but when I allow them to examine things, it helps. I have started very preliminary discussions with a company that would be able to produce a locking version of this trick. So, once you hand it to the spectator(s), they could poke / prod / pull on it all day long without there being a chance of them discovering the secret. Before I go too far down the rabbit hole, just curious if there would be a market for this, presuming it would be more expensive than the current offering, but not more than some of the really good versions of this trick that sold for over 100 dollars. |

I would, especially if it is completely examinable. By that I mean you cannot see the you know what. |

Count me in. If you get one to lock and it's superior for being examinable, a higher price would certainly be justified. Keep us posted. |

I'd be in |

Definitely interested |

The original version could be put in the hands of the participant without fear or hesitation. |

You piqued my interest. Make the gimmick horizontal instead of vertical, so it can be pushed on the short ends. |

Yes, agree with Kumpletoo. |

Can the people who like the long end vs. the short end explain why you think that is better if the two halves lock? Less conspicuous handling? At some point, you're squeezing something. |

I would love to get my hands on a locking version of this. |

I would definitely pay $100+ for a quality gimmick. I have a routine worked out and want the prop to be bullet proof. |
|

Man if you produce this I would buy buy buy it! |
|
||
Yes! I'd be very interested! |

You got my attention :) One please - horizontal because of the closing bit. Won't destroy/bend the outer case of the matchbox. |

Barts185, wondering if you ever had any movement on this? |
|

There hasn't been any movement mostly due to the money I would have to lay out in order to get this to market. The interest level I've seen doesn't justify it. Sorry. |
