Can you top this?

No one? I got plenty more, if not...
Oh, wait , I forgot to mention! The person has to be alive!

The following clip shows two of the funniest and most creative comedic geniuses who ever lived. Fortunately one of them is still alive today. Tim Conway. His timing and ad libs are second to none. My opinion.

Loved Bob Newhart's monologues. They have become dated but this is my favorite.

Always loved his dry humor.

One of my all time favorites was, and is, Steve Martin. Here he is on Letterman with his "Singing Balls."

My vote goes to Craig Ferguson. Just flat out the funniest man alive.

Big fan of Bob Monkhouse here.

Lots of fun! Some names there I didn't know about before. Thanks.

BTW the way to embed a youtube video is this:

(youtube) just the number and letters *after* the = sign in the URL goes here (/youtube)

Replace the () above with [] to make it work.

So for example, frankvomit's clip would look like (youtube)WYcnEonB04E(/youtube), again replacing the () with [].

Yeah sorry about that I guess for the link I just posted to watch it you're going to have to copy the link and paste it in your browser makes it a bit inconvenient but it's not hard.

This whole thing is classic - the comedian being the guy who added the sound effects.

The section from 2:21 - 2:37 is best.

Then check out the one that precedes the above, starting at 1:15.

Finally, 3:45 for about 5 seconds :)

I can't think of another comic so brilliant at both physical comedy and verbal:

I had never seen Rowan Atkinson teamed with John Cleese before this: pure dead brill!

The whole concept is moot.
It's predicated on the subjective question, "What makes you laugh?"
Message: Posted by: yazz (Mar 30, 2014 12:37PM)
Gotta love Rowan Atkinson :)
But my all time favourite comedian has to be Michael McIntyre - Genius!

Yes, of course, that's really what I'm asking. It would be nice if people posted links to their faves.

Billy Connolly......Outstanding !
If you've got fifty minutes to spare watch this.
It's from 1985 and is one of the "Audience with" specials. A performer would be in front of a
mostly celebrity audience.
Anyway....Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8KJiiuCBV0

My current fave is Bill Burr. Seems like he can improvise on pretty much any topic. Here's one small piece of a recent Conan interview - there's tons more (and probably better) material of his on YouTube:

If we're letting in dead guys...Richard Jeni.

I think dead guys deserve their own thread--there are just so many great ones.
Oh, I see Rodney slipped in there...
