Hi Bob:

With a birthday this week, I am right behind you. And, like many many others here, I am behind you in more important ways.

Happy Birthday Bob.... As I was writing this my 4 year old son started singing happy birthday, it was his birthday yesterday so he recognised the words on the screen and although I'm fairly sure he was singing it for himself, I'm giving it to ya man.

All the best!

Good, I hate it when you get into a one bar mental transmission zone!

Screwed up my attempts to send this properly--mind to mind.

Oh, well, despite that, my birthday wishes are full-length five bars. And the drinks are on me!

Thanks for being born, Bob--we're all the better for it!!

Thanks for your wisdom. And of course the friendly ball-busting. It's always... stimulating?

Party up! :exercise:

If possible can you PM me :)

Thank you!

Bob, I took my son on a college visit at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and I saw this sign near the student center. Thought of you...Hope you are doing well!
Message: Posted by: mastermindreader (Jun 30, 2014 07:47PM)
Good one, Red Devil.

Yes, the title to my 39 Steps was an homage to the novel and the classic Hitchcock film. The character, "Memory," is one of my all time favorites, particularly in the scene near the end when, while he's on stage demonstrating his remarkable recall of events, someone shouts out, "What are the thirty-nine steps?" (And Memory makes the mistake of answering the question.)

If you haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend it.

Bob

Bob,

Glad to see you got back intact.

Best wishes,

Scott :)
p.s. It was Iain who inspired me to use smiley faces in my posts. He hinted at writing a book entitled 'Smiley Physiognomy: An Advanced Cold Reading System & Related Arts'. Rumor has it that one can perform uncannily accurate reading over the internet. Limited addition of 100 copies and price at several hundred dollars.
p.p.s. Certain to be a collector's item.

Was great seeing you at Denny's in Baltimore, Scott. And thanks for your help!

Bob,

The pleasure was all mine.

God willing, we can share a couple of drinks in the future.

Wishing you the best,

Scott

Thanks Lior! It was great spending some time with you again, my friend. Loved those Kosher shrimp and grits!
Message: Posted by: Scott Soloff (Jul 3, 2014 11:09PM)
Kosher shrimp? :)
Message: Posted by: mastermindreader (Jul 3, 2014 11:12PM)
You had to be there.

At the first banquet there was a large bowl labeled "Shrimp and Grits." Lior got hold of a Sharpie and wrote "Kosher" on the top of the sign.
Message: Posted by: Scott Soloff (Jul 3, 2014 11:34PM)
Thank you for the clarification.

As a young boy we would go to a close friend's house for Christmas. Ham was the traditional dish that my 'Aunt' Mary served. Every year my 'Uncle' Tom assured my mother that it was kosher.

I suppose as a concession to our visit, there was always a Jewish Rye on the table, complete with the paper seal certifying that it was indeed kosher.

And, I'm dating myself.

Hope that you are well.
