I'm making myself at risk of seeming like a fan boy here but, I can here Peter in my head saying be "bold and take a risk" which directly correlates to Peter's impact on my growth as a performer and even approach day to day life.
I remember my first introduction to Peter's work being his Penguin lecture and my girlfriend hearing him in the background and saying, "I thought you were listening to one of your magic lectures?" To which I responded, "I am." She followed up with, "Oh! Just that guy sounds like a motivational speaker, not a magician!"
That lecture for me and based on the responses to the lecture here and the reviews on Penguin actually was. (I still listen to certain segments of it to this day)
Many of us have had the opportunity to spend time with Peter whether in person or thousands of miles away via Skype, if nothing more can appreciate him for being a geniunely nice and humble guy and in my opinion was of the best thinkers in our art today.
I could go on and on but, I just thought he deserved the acknowledgement. Happy Birthday Peter!
