Just putting an idea out there for the bizarre community.

Would anyone be interested if I added a classifieds section to the LC site? You could take advantage of the huge mailing list and sell your unwanted props, effects etc directy to the right audience?

You then ship direct once the sale has gone through.

If there are a number of you who wanted to test the scheme then pm me...

That is if you do not want to use the already established Flea on Alchemy Moon ;-)

Ah, didn't see that - scrap the idea...

Not a problem Dan - really, you have my blessing to go ahead - I just wanted to point out that we planted the flag!
The original idea of the Flea was to serve the community and have exactly that idea of a community bring and buy, as a free service offered by the Moon. It was also my intention to encourage experimentation and speculative invention. So people who were playing with ideas could try them out on the Flea Market.
However, to be frank the community response has been exactly zero. Not only to the Flea, but in our vision of making Alchemy Moon more of a community resource than a shop. People voted with their feet (or lack of feet), so we have dropped all of the community aspects of the Website, and bought this back into the forum.
So, although I would particularly like to see the Flea as a hotbed for creative invention, realistically it is not going to happen.
However, the flea is still useful to us and very popular. It is a good way for Paul, Moonskin and myself to play with ideas and sell prototypes.
So, although our idea was originally very similar, the Flea morphed into something a little different. So there would not really be any clash if you wanted to go ahead.

I support your idea Dan.

Chris sorry to hear the direction didn't pan out for the moon and flea the way you originally intended.

I'm still a supporter (and have purchased a couple of items from the flea which I am very grateful for). If people look there now they may be disappointed to find they have missed out on a couple of really cool one of a kind items that were very inexpensive.

I want to see your efforts pay off and wish other would also support the individual communities instead of just coming here.

There are much larger benefits for our group taking part in discussions outside of here and I think everyone should visit your blog.
