Eyespy is the ingenious prop-less solution to the any object thought of plot, from the creative mind of Ben Cardall The Deductionist.

Using nothing but your words, you are able to divine any object thought of by your spectator completely a-prop, with no billets, tears or anything written down.

You play one round of a simple game of 'eye-spy' with your spectator and are instantly able to tell them which object they are thinking of.The script with built in method, does all of the work for you.Can be performed via text, over the phone or even Skype.Simple. Easy. Powerful.

As this fits the a-prop style of my previous work perfectly, I am proud to be adding this as the first release on my Intuition label.

Why would you preorder a PDF?

Lol,it's not like it's going to go out of stock.

I would seriously wait for reviews from paying customers before dropping 20 on a pdf. It'll have to be pretty special at that price.

Cierry is the same reviewer who recommended art Vanderlay's the illusion of choice...the product that was lowered in price by 66% since it was largely a major disappointment...cierry, did you receive a free copy of this too?

Hey, let's not be so quick to turn negative.

Yea, offering a pre-order on a pdf doesn't make too much sense but than again it doesn't hurt anybody also.
I like Ben's and Fraser's thinking (Ceierry's 10s zodiac guess is also brilliant) and have quite high hopes for this release, will probably buy it after it's release.

Hello Kevin how're you?
When I got a review copy, I review the material in it, not the price, I didn't even knew the price.

I have not yet seen the material in this PDF; but Ben is a talented performer and a great thinker, so I've no doubt that this will be worth the money! I'm looking forward to the release!

Hey guys,

Alex here.

So what is EyeSpy?

EyeSpy is Ben Cardall's new offering to the magic/mentalism community.

For those of you that know Ben Cardall, he labels himself as a Deductionist, as you have probably seen his other releases, like Sherlockian and more.

For those that know him, this is a good place to start.

What you get is a 13 page PDF explaining the ins and outs of the routine, as well as additional suggestions, tips, subtleties, etc.

This work reminded me a lot of Colin McLeod, Michael Murray, Fraser Parker and Peter Turner, so you get the basic gist of what this work entails. Inspiration is derived from Ben Cardall's game playing of the classic EyeSpy game, and let me tell you this is a smart pdf.

For those of you who ask, no this is not like Ouija, though it way seem that way, this is different altogether.

The basic effect is that you can divine, through deduction any thought of object in a person's house, via phone, person, chat, text, Skype, etc etc.

It really does work, as I have already applied it 2 times since learning it yesterday. I have never met or talked to Ben personally, but Fraser Parker is putting out this release as his first in the Intuition Series, and let me tell you, that this first release is a winner, and starts off the series with a bang.

The methods employed here are smart, allowing you to concentrate on your presentation, and the framework of this piece entails one through actually go through the actions by oneself, as to check yourself, and learn more and more in the process.

What I also learned about this work, is that you can put your own spin on things, as well as it opens up loads of possibilities for cold reading, for those of you in the know about cold reading, and it allows you to divine other details as well.

I am already working on my own variation of this work, and thinking on how I can elevate it yet to another level, as I have done with other works as well.

The original routine as it stands is a great one, and you don't need to develop other variation, I just find some avenues open for me to explore and report back, and see how I can change it.

Like I said, I have already done this 2 times, once over the phone, and once to my wife, and it passed with flying colors.

Once you learn this routine, you will always be ready to perform it at any given time.

Some practice is required, but nothing too hard, so it should be within everybody's grasp.

All in all, this routine is beautifully constructed, easy to understand, and something that you will use.

10/10

Good job Ben, and thanks to Fraser for picking this up under his label so to speak.

Thanks

Alex Alejandro

Thank you for your review Alejandro. Please keep them coming!
I'm proud to have this title from Ben as my first release on my Intuition label. Those who are wondering what this is. It is an ingeniously simple and clever method for diving any thought of object completely prop-less, using words and perception as your method and is therefore, a perfect fit for the label and reflects the style of my own work perfectly.

Agreed

What's the point of a pre order PDF

Why not wait until you have fnished writing it before trying to hype something that's not yet available

Here in the Netherlands we have a Eye-Spy related game, it is called "I see, I see what you don't see" and then the "spy" names the color of the object.
Throughout guessing from the other person the spy reveals clues to narrow down to the chosen object.

How will this effect be different from the original game?
Do you still ask questions and make guesses about what the chosen object is or is there only one or none questions at play?

This is a great effect. What Ben gives you here is a simple tool to divine any thought of object, using only a few words via a fun and playful method. I felt it essential to test the system before reviewing and I quickly discovered that when it didn't hit, it was entirely down to my performance. If you play it like a game of eye spy that's exactly how it will feel to your audience, fun but not magical. To make it work as an effect you need to perform!

Once I'd obtained the word I kept this to myself and started focusing on my volunteer's house. Using Ben's system I knew which room my volunteer's thoughts were in - which I held back, instead asking them to imagine looking around the room. Much to their amazement, I began by describing other objects in the room before announcing where they were. I then got them to visualise their chosen object, to concentrate on it and to send the thought to me. By this stage they'd long forgotten the steps we'd gone through to obtain the word, the game of eye spy becomes almost irrelevant and for them I'd managed to deduce a thought of object, which totally blows them away. To me as a performer it very much felt like a psychic claiming to read minds after they'd researched their audience before the show - except in this case it's done very much in front of them and out in the open.

The PDF is incredibly easy to follow, so full marks have to be applied. Just don't expect it to do all the work for you, this isn't a self-working gimmick, this is a piece of mentalism for the intelligent, quick thinking performer. If you're not a performer but a collector of secrets, this will certainly expand your knowledge but there's no kick to be had from that - the buzz you get from proplessly obtaining a thought of object from your volunteer, then convincing them you can step through their mind and into their room is rather special and very clever indeed.
