Topic: Looking to contact Jon Armstrong
Message: Posted by: Jan Schattling (Mar 28, 2017 10:44PM)
Hi.
Anybody here got a way to get in contact with Jon Armstrong?
I tried his website but the contact form wouldn't work.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Jan

P.S.: I was not sure where to post this, but I thought it might fit here.

The OP noted that the contact form didn't work for him. Did you really enjoy being a d1ck to a stranger?

What do you mean? Were you unable to click Submit? Did you try a different browser?
Message: Posted by: Jan Schattling (Mar 30, 2017 05:13AM)
I filled all fields but when clicking submit it would tell me that it encountered a problem and that I should review my information but won't show which field is flawed.

Are you using the +49 as your country code on your phone number?

I'm assuming you're in Germany by your profile...

That's an interesting point. I am sometimes frustrated by online forms in the USA asking for my phone number, not because of the country code, but because of the assumption that all phone numbers must have the same number of digits as in the USA. My landline numbers have eight digits, but my cell phone has seven. My landline in Göttingen has a three digit area code (551); my landline in Hamburg has 2 (40). So if you want to call me in Hamburg (where the OP lives) you have to call 49 40 XXXX XXXX, but my cell phone would be 49 170 XXX XXXX. The number of the phone on my desk has five digits; the guy in the office next to mine has four. The university itself has a two digit prefix, so if you want to call me in my office you dial 49 551 39 XXXXX.

(Here's another fun thing for me: I can't use my credit card at gas pumps in the States because they want an American zip code. I always have to pay cash in advance, which is a PITA.)

If I were the OP, I'd just try info@cardjon.com .

But doesn't Jon lurk here? Doesn't everybody who's anybody in magic lurk here?

I have the same problem. The phone on my desk in my office has just one button and flakes red. Forms never account for that.

Jon appears to have a Facebook presence. I have no idea how often he checks in or takes requests. But that may be another line to pursue.

Flashes not flakes.

I was guessing 'blinks' knowing your auto correct.

Sometimes AutoCorrect gives us absolutely perfect metaphors.

Technically I believe it is called "predective text".

Wow... A real life magic trick.
I was so focused on the form that I overlooked that there is an email, too.
Thanks stoneunhinged for pointing that out.
Let's see if that will work. :-)

Well I'm embarrassed.

Jan, if you're contacting him to try to bring him to Hamburg, let me know.
Message: Posted by: Jan Schattling (Mar 31, 2017 03:13PM)
Meeting him would be awesome, after all I have seen of him, but no.
I am trying to get my hands on his comic book and no store is able to get it anymore and even the evil giant Amazon has it not available. :(
I was hoping he might have a stock of them and that maybe he will be willing to part with it.

Thanks for this thread. I need to contact Jon.

I suppose that one could contact the supplier of tiny plungers. Jon must be the greatest salesperson for tiny plungers who ever lived. I bet he's responsible for the sale of HUNDREDS of the things. Some elf (or Chinese factory worker) loves him. Or hates him.

Now I want one myself.

I was able to contact Jon and he responded right away.
