Anyone know the size of the mylar sheet in Jerry Andus "Mylar Mystery?"

Being a magician in Albany, Oregon has it's advantages. One of them was being able to study under Jerry Andrus for the last 10 years of his life. When working on Mylar Mystery with Jerry I made my own prop by taking a red piece of legal size paper (8 1/2" x 14"), put a yellow spot on it and had it laminated with a thin laminate at a local office supply. Thin stock paper is best...you want it to be flexible...the laminate will give it enough strength. This was extremely close to the size Jerry was using. Jerry's was just a sheet of mylar plastic with the paint right on the plastic.

Hope that helps.

An excellent routine. I found that a sheet a bit larger than 8.5 by 14 was best. The ball used is only a child's size one, not a tennis or lacrosse sized. Perhaps a racquet ball size would do. It gets palmed in some gutsy ways.
