Can anyone help with a silk vanish using a finger tip not a thumb tip.

Hi Otto
There is an effect called Finger Tip Silk Vanish it is described in commercial magic 2000 lecture notes by Nicholas Einhorn.You will need a finger tip and a 12 inch silk. It is a good alternative to the thumb tip as it is not so well known.

I think the dvd with the magicians going on a road trip (not sure the name) but there is a good performance were he vanishes the silk then it appears in a coin purse. Hope that can help. Sorry I don't know the name.

What kind of help do you need? The moves and handling is basicly the same as with a TT.

Jeff McBride talks briefly about manipulating the 'finger tip' on Magic on Stage vol 2. Well worth checking out if you are using this little gem!

I saw the Nick Einhorn lecture for the second time on Sunday and was fooled by the finger tip vanish. Everybody is looking for the thumb tip and it is not there.

If your familiar with a TT then you will be able to work out a FT.
