I have just started memorizing Mnemónica so.. I am in!
How would you like to receive app feedback?

Love that you included the Redford stack. Installed flawlessly on Samsung Galaxy S8+ (Sprint - Android Version 7.0; Nougat)

Intuitive, well laid out. Will provide more feedback once I get to playing with it more.

Couldn't get it to load on iphone7. It was asking me to open it as a document

Downloaded without any issues (Android 4.4.4).
The interface looks nice, runs smoothly and is quite intuitive. So far I have only tested the Progressive mix feature, and it works well

Good job!

If the app is telling you there's a new version, follow the link in the first post for the updated install file.

Hello guys, sorry I missed your posts since I received no mail notifications from the forum :(

Yes, this app is only available on Android for now. I might buy an Apple license later to publish on the App store...

Any feedback is welcome, feel free to suggest anything. I've just delivered a new release that includes a new challenge (find me).
I also fixed few internal bugs connected to the learning.

Alister, I was asked to download a new version when I opened the app today (a few hours ago). After that I have had several "run time errors" when running the Practice section. I guess you get a report of app usage, since it only works when the app is connected to the web.

From a stack learner perspective, some nice features missing:
- offer a free range to practice (vs. 10/20/30/40/52 options)
- offer fail and try counts per card

And also one observation. I use 30 card practice runs and I have noticed the same card is shown several times during the run, it does not feel like totally random. Could this be possible or is it just a wrong feeling on my side.

Anyway, thanks for putting this app together!

Hello PL Green, thanks a lot for your feedback.
Your're correct, I'm supposed to receive major incidents, runtime errors when then occur.
The point is that I didn't receive anything relevant, I guess I've one issue in my reporting module :(

I'll think to implement something related to a free range practicing feature. Might be one additional screen where you select the cards you want to focus.

The fail and try counts per card is already handled and are used by the app to determinate the "randomness" of the cards.

For example, the training mix uses the following repeated sequence to determinate the cards:
"high","high","worst","best","medium","medium","worst"

First card will be a card with an "high" knowledge.
Same for second.
Third card will be the "worst" card... etc.

Furthermore, if you choose to practice against the whole deck, the same card can't appear more than once every 8 cards (less is you practice against less cards...).
Might be a tiny bug in that module that explains your repetition issue, in your case, the same card should not appear more than once every 6 cards.

The fail and try counts per card are already rendered thru the circle colors (stack screen) but I could implement one additional screen that explicitly displays these statistics...

Thanks again for that feedback, I'll work deeper with the cards engine.

Saving settings would be nice too, or else I missed where to save things such as range of cards.

Correct, the practicing settings are not saved. I can make them persisted in the next release.

Alistair, would you rather get feedback here or by email?
For now, this is what I have noticed:
- when using the challenge section, once the time is gone it still allows you to complete the screen you are in. I guess it doesn't count the answer, but in my opinion it would be better to stop as soon as the clock runs down to zero.
- once it did not work well in the "Find it!" section (it is shown as orange compared to other buttons, in green, which might mean work in progress). The task was to locate the Jacks, only 3 where shown, but after selecting them it still kept the clock running.
- an explanation on how the % is calculated in the "Challenge" section would be nice

For sure this app is helping me in my quest to conquering Mnemonica! Thanks a lot for putting it together.

Hello P.L.Green, thanks a lot for your feedback. (you can use the Facebook Stack Master group if you have a FB account)

You're correct about your first remark, I'll correct that in the next release and "finish" the challenge as soon as the time is elapsed.

You're right about the colors which are a bit confusing. The "Find it" challenge should be fixed with the current release, did you use today's release?

You're right about the percentage, might be a bit hermetic (the more you find cards and the less you get wrong, the more you have an high percentage).
A classic score handling might be more user friendly. I'll think about that.

Thanks!

No this happened yesterday. I have just downloaded the new version, and also asked to join the FB group.

Weird :( I was unable to reproduce this behavior with the latest version... I'll dig deeper.

A new release is available, it includes the "challenge finish" fix + other corrections.
It also includes a tiny new challenge dedicated to acaan (find the correct cut).

Even if you already know your stack cold this App is lots of fun! Many different options to practicing. Two thumbs up from this guy! It's not your typical mem deck flash card app which makes it more fun to learn with.
