Topic: New to the Café and into the bizarre
Message: Posted by: BizarreRich (May 14, 2018 07:58PM)
Hi, I thought I would introduce myself to the Cellar as this is where I intend to spend most of my Café time. I have been into different forms of magic for decades but I have only been interested in bizarre magic for the last two years. While I have performed close-up magic as a semi-pro at the moment I am an amateur. I should also mention that I live in Australia and that one of my many reason for joining the Café is to make contact with other bizarrists in general and Australian bizarrists in particular. I am really looking forward to my time in the Cellar and discussing a subject that I have a real passion for.

Welcome to the Café'. I'm not from Australia but I am a bit upside down at times. Glad to help anytime I can.

Hope you find the things in our various caskets to your interest. We have many ways into the graveyard, some, like this one, do not require keys, signs, and dedication to the mysterious. The one below these often life-like mundanities becone available after your 50 entries in the general magic community interests found on the Casfe. Tthose warm you up so you might eventually enter the chilling habitats of the bizarre, mysterious and unknown imaginings of the minds found cloistered in these grey and dark realms for the disenlightened.

Vilkommen! There are a few Australians here in Spooky. They will let themselves become known in time.

Thanks everyone for your very kind welcome to the Cellar. I have noticed that there is a real sense of community in here and I am looking forward to contributing towards that. Thanks chmara for mentioning that other areas will be open to me once I reach 50 posts. I'm definitely looking forward to that.

Hey BizarreRich! I introduced myself in the "Our New Arrivals" area. Glad you found your way here. It's a shadowy and hidden place, but those who want to find it will become illuminated.

Thanks Wizard of Oz and gostone23 I'm already enjoying my time in the Café and have learnt some things that will improve my magic. I'm so glad I took the plunge.

BizarreRich,

I'm an Aussie Bizarrist, living in Brissy. You also have DrSH who's in Steak and Kidney.

Welcome to the Shadowlands.

Thanks Brynmore for letting me know that. I live in Wollongong so I'm a bit closer to DrSH. Do the two of you ever meet up to talk about bizarre magic? I don't have a lot of contact with other magicians except when I travel up to Heypresto but even then no one seems to be that keen on the bizarre side of magic. As I mentioned in another thread I've really enjoyed Down the Hatch, which I bought this week and I will let you know my thoughts on Roxy when I get that next week. I'm looking forward to it.

Bienvenue BizarreRich,
I don’t often come here but I received some signs ...
Your bizarre journey is beginning , I have no doubt you will enjoy.

Thanks for the kind welcome Dr SH. It's great to discover that there are such talented Bizarre Magicians in Australia. I have watched your Seance video and really enjoyed it. I haven't seen a lot of bizarre magic on video so it was good to see just how powerful a genre it can be.

The good Doctor came and visited me a couple of years back and it was great fun. Sadly we don't meet up enough, but if you are ever heading up this way let me know.

Thanks Brynmore for that very kind offer. It would be great to meet up some time. Unfortunately, I don't make it up to Queensland often but now I have one more reason to go there.

Hi everyone, while I’m not Australian, it sounds like BizarreRich and I have a lot in common. I too have been preforming magic for a long time but I’ve only recently discovered Bizarre Magic. Im looking forward to spending time in the Cellar, as it is the reason I finally stopped lurking on these boards.

Hi WintersNight, it's great that you joined the Café. I must admit I spent quite some time just browsing the Café before eventually joining. I am so glad that I did though as not only have I already discovered things that have enhanced my magic but I have also been able to help out some other magicians and in a way that has been even more rewarding.
