David Kovac's new lecture "Your Magical Host," will have various demonstrations and discussions of Comedy, tips for Emcees, and the niche art of "Creating Magic Along The Way." He'll also touch on presentation in general and script starters, in particular. He'll have quality updated lecture notes and YES! he will also be teaching actual tricks (intermediate level, nothing too technical).

It will be a fast-paced, humorous, but also substantive event, and we suspect everyone who attends will take away something of value. (Oh, and he'll shine his shoes.)

David Kovac is a classically trained actor and former street juggler who combines original, intelligent humor with cleverly crafted magical routines. He has appeared in many notable Chicago venues, from the popular Millennium Park and Navy Pier to the stages of Second City, Metro and the legendary Green Mill Jazz Club. The dapper Mr. Kovac has performed his random acts of magic for Neil Patrick Harris, Alicia Keys, Miss Thailand and Napoleon Dynamite himself. (Britney Spears, too, though he has no recollection ...) From the famed Magic Castle in Hollywood to Monday Night Magic in NYC, David Kovac's modern-day vaudevillian style and classic taste in conjuring have made him a popular and well-respected performer. Audiences may also spot his distinctive voice and likeness in numerous television and radio commercials; current ads include Alltel phones and Simply Pure milk. David Kovac's most recent solo show was titled Fooling Buddha!, An Evening of Myth, Mystery and Infinite Jest ... and played to sold-out houses at First Folio Theatre.
