Topic: Coring Rope

Went to WalMart & bought "Mainstays Home Cotten Clothesline." Unfortunately, it has a core of some kind of paper or fabric (fabric like sheet of paper?).

I am kinda tearin' my hands up.

Any help would be appreciated.

This rope is not ment to be cored. If you want rope to core you must buy the thicker rope from Stevens Magic 55 yards on a spool. The outer rope is closely woven.

The Wal-Mart is similiar to the thin magician rope that use to be available.

Yes, the ROPES at Stevens Magic are the best (to me), they come in White, Yellow, Red, Blue... etc.

I bought the woven rope at Wal-Mart and cored it rather successfully. The one piece of advice is this... cut it to the required length before you core it. I tried doing the entire rope and it got rather frayed (sp?) at the end. Not to mention the condition of my hands.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the brand of the rope. I did a search in these forums and found a long thread (no pun) on the topic. I'd suggest the same.
