Topic: In person training in New York or surrounding areas

As someone who has been fascinated by hypnosis for years, iíd like to be trained, properly. Though, with my untrained eye, itís hard to tell a proper trainer vs the unfit. I donít want to learn from someone that is an amature, leading to me learning how to be more of the same. Iíd love to not spend several thousands but I also want sound teaching, so donít let price really factor in. Just a few options of trainers would be helpful from those of you on here that know and can make sound reccomendations.

I appreciate it!

The main thing is: Is the person you're learning from actively doing what you want to do? If the answer is yes, then it's probably a good pla. I occasionally do a 4 person training in my showroom at the Binions Casino in Vegas but that means travel as well!

Yeah, I would look beyond NY for training. Go to where the good is not what is just convenient.

Agreed. I donít mind going where good training is, but obviously iíd theres good training in my neck of the woods, that would be great. By surrounding areas in my post I meant surrounding states as well. Letís expand it to the east of the us. Reccomended teaching ?

Here is a working professional, who would be available in New York http://www.hypnotistpro.com/ The BS that you have to go beyond New York for training, is ridiculous.

Search Ericksonian Hypnosis in NYC. I did NLP and Hypnosis tracing at NLP Center of New York and with Doug O'Brien.

Was that therapeutic or stage hypnosis?

Not complete nonsense, just overhyped.

Geared towards therapeutic.

Then it's not terribly relevant to this subforum as this is specifically for entertainment hypnosis.

Exactly!

Well, the original poster stated he was "fascinated by hypnosis," not stage hypnosis and the link suggested for training (http://www.hypnotistpro.com/) is for clinical hypnosis.

My mistake.
