Message: Posted by: PASCAL (Nov 13, 2018 04:47AM)
HI
Several years ago I bought at Mephisto magic shop a silk named "GONE"
With this silk you can vanish objects even if it's on the spectator hand ! Nice effect , very visual ..
I would like to know the creator of this gimmicked silk AND if we can buy it somewhere .
Thanks for the help

Pascal, the Gone silk I referenced, is only a silk, it does not vanish objects. I believe I misread your question, as Gone Silk, means something different then the Go Go Handkerchief prop.

Magic Hands was a magic company in Germany, back in the 1970's, it changed hands several times, and finally went out of business.

I have to disagree, Patrick Page's Hanky Panky is a heavy non-wrinkle black large cloth with ribbon border. I purchased one from him at Abbott's GTG years ago. His handling was not instructed, so at once when I got home, I wrote out his handling for the vanish and production of a large coin. Pat was old school, sell you an effect, and provide instructions so you could not understand them. It was what busker's use to do in the old days. The next year, I was going to buy another Hanky Panky, but he only brought cloths with a different color border ribbon. I had a great idea using two of these cloths. Oh well.

It is a great prop that has many purposes with other magic effects, like the egg bag to vanish the egg, or a vanish and production of a large coin routine.

I looked all over for the material, and the next year asked Patrick Page what kind of material it was, and he tugged at his jacket.

It all depends if your routing uses a spectator or not, as Hanky Panky is not used with a spectator.

Go Go cloth, is very startling if as the item can be vanished from the outstretched hand of a spectator. No other vanish prop can do this. But you have to get the wife and kids to help you practice, by offering their hand.
