Topic: The Bammo 10 Card Deal Dossier reprint
Message: Posted by: diamondjack (Aug 29, 2019 12:04AM)
In the buying and selling forum Bob Farmer said that the ten card deal dossier will be reprinted this fall in paperback with more information and a CD. Something to look forward to if you missed out on the hardcover.

I would be keen to buy the DVD if available separately, would be good to see some of the performances from the book.

Bob did mention the DVD will be totally separate from the book. Very exciting.

This is awesome news. I missed out on the hard back edition.

Any word on when this is going to be available?

Got an email today about this; the DVD and booklet are available separately for those of us who purchased the first edition of the book...

It costs just $15 for these, however to the UK, shipping is a massive $25.50 on the site, which is ridiculous for what must be a very slender and light package.

I'm hoping it's simply a mistake on the site, else I'm going to have to pass, unfortunately.

The Bammo Ten Card Deal Dossier New Edition

It’s back! Copies of the original hardback edition—if you can find them—have been selling online for hundreds of dollars. The book is literally unobtainable. Its value, inestimable.

But now Houdini Magic and Bob Farmer have joined forces to print a new edition in a luxurious supple format. The contents of the new edition are exactly the same as the original.

However, the new edition comes with a DVD which contains videos featuring Allan Ackerman, Tim Ellis, Curtis Kam and Mike Porstmann and a 37-page booklet of all new material.

The price is $45 but here’s the deal: if you already have a copy of the first edition, you can purchase just the DVD and the booklet for $15. Shipping is extra. Don’t miss out this time because when this printing is gone there will be no more.

Available ONLY from Houdini Magic, not from me.

Book and DVD with booklet addendum, $45, here:

DVD and booklet addendum only, $15, here:

One more thing: With, “Escorial 3 Cards Monte,” (aka “Visible Monte”), Gaetan Bloom invented one of the most revolutionary gaffed cards in history. It has been ignored by the magic demimonde, but not by me. The results are here:

I suspect it's correct. A minimum size envelope (padded generally) is required to hold the customs forms and so on. Looks like the shipping might be similar to this:

---

Priority Mail International Flat Rate Products
Free Supplies Shipping Price From* Dimensions
Padded Flat Rate Envelope $24.55 commercial base $25.85 at Post Office (retail and online) 12 1/2" x 9 1/2"

---

I recently posted a (smallest possible size) padded envelope to Germany (from California) filled with only rubber bands (very light) and best rate was about $15 USD. So yeah, international shipping is pretty nasty these days.

Hm, Bob says he might have fixed the shipping price.

For you international folks, perhaps a good time to try again.

Got mine yesterday. Great book (I had the hardcover and sold it for way too little when it went OOP and I needed the cash). The large paperback is same as I remember. Smaller book has more great stuff and the DVD is a wonderful touch. I will not be parting with this set.

I would normally think it is too soon for a review but since I had read thru it in the past and only had to take in the smaller new booklet and watch the dvd, I recommend getting it (and keeping it) before it too sells out.

Mailing to UK is now only $10 for DVD

Love the booklet. My dvd has issues. ( no sound for Alan Ackerman ) No biggie . I'll ask for a replacement. I trust the source. Very pleased overall.

Buy this before it goes out-of-print. Cuz then... it's gone forever.. .. This is my favorite magic book ever. I also love Jack Carpenter's work, Marlo too.. but this is my favorite book. Ever.

I would love to buy this. For some reason I can't actually get to the point where Houdini.com takes my money. I've tried on my PC, my phone and my iPad. Anyone else having a hard time giving these people money for their product? This is getting very frustrating...

I give up. Does anyone have a copy of this they would like to sell? Let me know.

I tried again this morning and whatever glitches that were preventing me checking out from houdini.com are all sorted and I was able to place my order. :dancing:

I’ve got the original hardback copy so tried to purchase the DVD via site but shipping to UK is showing as $25.50...bringing total to $40+...is this correct? Seems a shame as this would be great to own but I can’t justify that cost on top of the book.

Regards

Matt

My copy arrived and it's great! Love the addendum and the bonus DVD.

Highly recommended!

Hi all

I’ve just revisited this to see if the shipping charges have improved to the UK...but it’s now $127 for the booklet and video link. Surely this cannot be correct?
