Topic: Knot in silk to appearing cane...
Message: Posted by: hagemagic (Jun 17, 2004 05:15AM)
Does anyone know where it is written how to tie a knot in a silk and produce a cane from the knot? I've see this somewhere, but can't seem to find the instructions. Is it on a video maybe?

I mentioned that trick recently on this thread: Cafe thread... Appearing Cane

I learned it in Genii several years ago, in a photo article by / about Shimada. More info on that thread.

It is also on the Steven's Video of Shimada.

I saw the thread just after I submitted the question. Sorry for duplication.

Zombie, thanks for the tip on the video.

Zombie, what is the name of that Steven's video?

It is part of their greater magic series. It is called: SHIMADA VOLUME 3, MANIPULATION.

Thanks for the help.

What's your favorite Shimada magic?

I had the pleasure of working backstage with him at Abbott's last year. What a gentleman.

The care and precision of the act is remarkable.

The Parasol act is my favorite.

I love his card sequence, as well as the 35 Billiard ball routine. Both are covered on that tape.

James Dimmare also does this trick, very smooth!
