Just found a great new website:

http://www.magic-notes.com

It's by the same guys did 'The Underground Collective' - Jamie Badman & Colin Miller and it looks GREAT.

The idea is ANYONE can upload manuscripts to sell on the web - and advertise their lecture tours etc. Jamie and Colin apparently review anything tendered for sale first, so as to keep the quality up.

I just bought Trini Montes' latest notes from the site and they ROCK. Overcast is the cleverest effect I've come across for ages; worth the price of the notes.

Anyway, check it out. I think the site could really take off; it's a great idea!

Hi John! Thanks for the kind words!

Magic Notes is a system developed by Colin Miller and myself to allow anyone to sell their manuscripts online in an easy, searchable and secure manner. It uses the security system we employ on 'The Underground Collective' which is tried and tested.

If anyone here wants more info on how they can put their manuscripts online through 'Magic Notes' contact me either through a PM or E-mail. I'll do all I can to help.

BTW, our 'cut' is VERY low; check it out on the site - just 20% (we take the PayPal sale hit in this too!)... mention this post when uploading anything within a month of now, and we'll reduce our cut even further to just 15% as a 'thankyou' for helping us launch!

Anyway, please take a look. Hope you like. We've put a great deal of effort into the look and feel of the site!

Oh... a nice 'freebie' feature we have on there - you can advertise your lectures and tour dates, contact details etc! If you choose to, you can sell your lecture notes through the site, and associate them with the lecture - but that's optional! I think if people start using this aspect of the site in earnest it'll become a most valuable resource!

Regards,

Jamie.

Oh, forgot to say... agree with you, John. 'Overcast' is a scarily good effect!

Broken link!

aint the first thing you got to think about when you make a web site making sure it is still there 2 days after you advertise it?

Cruise; The site is there and working beautifully; today, several people have purchased products and a couple of people created new Vendor profiles - so it's obviously functionally fine...

You may want to check with your ISP that their DNS isn't glitched ? If it's not, then - is anyone else having trouble reaching the site ?

Cheers,

Jamie.

As usual, Jamie did do an excellent job on the web design. The list of contributors is growing every day, with notes from Jamie Badman, Yaniv Deautsch, Trini Montes, Michael Sibbernsen, and myself. If you're looking for a good place to either buy or sell downloadable magic, this is the best place I've seen so far. And no, I'm not just saying that because they're carrying my notes as well.

I agree, Cool stuff, and they do the security part for you. I think this is a very good idea that I wish had been thought of earlier!

Just had a PM on here - url's are no longer allowed in messages on the Café - and the guy said he'd deleted url's from posts of mine. I figure he'll eventually zap the url on the first post here (Johns) so check my sig out for the site address instead ;-)

(Apparently URL's in Signatures are fine!)

Cheers,

Jamie.

Great site Jamie, I'll be submitting some of my work there definitely, saves me all the trouble. Great concept, I'm surprised no one thought of it earlier!

Thanks Tom!

There'll be some nice updates on the site very soon; been working on some changes.

Also, if anyone's thinking of submitting anything to the site, bear in mind the 'favourable' rate for Café members lasts only a little while longer...!

Cheers,

Jamie.

I put something up on Magic Notes and have already had a few sales. Don't hesitate, if you have a set of notes get them up on the site while you can still take advantage of the Café special.

Thanks Jamie.

A special thanks to Jamie for the Magic-Notes. It's looking to be a success.

Also, I wish to thank those who have purchased my Enigmas Lecture Book from the site. I do hope you find some useful ideas.

Are the folks from Magic-Notes out of town or something? I tried contacting them several times since Monday, but have received no replies.
