Given that we are all cruisers of the Web, I thought I would pass on some information to you all. I recently got a lesson on spyware, little programs that attach themselves to your computer when you go to free hosted sites (nothing is free). These programs track your activity on the web and sell your activity history to spammers. Can you say invasion of privacy? :angry: There is a free download on c/net called Adaware which clears this stuff out of your computer. I logged on and down loaded it in less than five minutes at :snail: 33.6K modem. I ran the program in about 3 minutes. It found 37 different spyware files that were at work in my computer! :fruity: Now they are gone :comply: and, you know, I don’t really miss them. :phhhhhht: I recommend that everyone clear out their system. There is even a program with the Adaware download that can be used to alert you when spyware is attemptung to attach itself to your computer. I too have Ad-aware on my computer. As yet, it hasn't found any so-called 'syware' programs. But then I rarely d/load freeware programs that may contain such add-ons. ;)

Another program that works well is SpywareSD (Search and Destroy) It found like 62 on my comp - no wonder IE crashes all the time! :bat:
