Does anyone have a review of the The Little Green Lecture Video? Could you please tell me a little more about it, like what is on it or the highlights? Thank you.

* Robin Hood - A very special and easy to do cards across. Perform this one and take your bow.
* The Chameleon - A highly visual piece of magical wildlife
* Chaos - Funny, messy and automatic
* Defect - An impromptu rising card routine with an off-beat surprise climax
* Triathlon - An exceptionally fair triple location; Borrow a deck and baffle anyone!
* Cupit - A complete card romance in three acts
* The Ultimate Coincedence - The performer's deck exactly matches a borrowed, shuffled deck in order!

Don't know about the video, but if it is anywhere near as good as the book it will be awesome!!!!

Hi! joeKing.
You can find this Video at Hank Lee Magic Factory. Description is this...

The Little Green Lecture Video - Pit Hartling - An 85 minute tape which includes all the tricks in Pit's lecture notes plus two others (one of which is performance only). Jim Krenz, in his Genii Magazine review stated, "WOW. Let me say that again: Wow. If you haven't heard of Pit yet, you soon will. And this video is an excellent introduction to his creativity." VHS.

Price: $ 35.00

Hi,

have seen Pit perform these routines once in a while:
Everything on the tape is great stuff but Triathlon is awesome (but I use an much easier method than Pit because I am not good in math) and Cupid is nice to perform for the ladies...;)

I agree that the video/booklet are great and Triathlon is killer...I am not very good at math either, but I was able to pick on the "Epitome Location" rather quickly. I think Ackerman has a version of this trick using a stack rather than the E.L.

"Chaos" is definitely one of the most mind-boggling card effects I've seen. It does require a setup and a table, but it will demolish logic relentlessly. The most logic-challenging moment in the effect happens when the cards are REALLY mixed in the clumsiest manner. There is no path open. Order should not be possible, or even allowed... and yet. "Chaos" has the elegance and simplicity of a true classic.

Chaos is great, but Cupit is as good as it gets. People flip out over that trick.

Absolutely GREAT!!

My favorite is also 'Chaos'!!!

BTW: Does anybody have an explanation for his "The Ultimate Coincedence"??? Or for his 'Fortune-Prediction-Effect' in his FISM-act??

Is "the Ultimate Coincidence" the final (performance only) effect on the "Little Green Video"? If so, I remember that completely flooring me.... If that is published, I would also love to hear where. Also, the "Fortune-Prediction-Effect", is that the final effect in his FISM Act from the "Flicking Fingers" DVD? I think I may have a suitable method, possibly not the exact...

Hi Guys,

I guess Pit will not release these two items for a while, The Ultimate Coincedence is still in the works, we just came up with an even better method but as you can see the effect was on ice for quite some time and is again!!?

The other item is not realy part of his FISM act, at least not the one that won him second price, this act was perfored at FISM though! The Fortune Teelling Prediction is one of the Cornerstones of Pits Heinz Act and actually the only real magic, otherwise it is a comedy-routine.

Best Stefan

TRIATHLON Is worth the notes and the video !!!
Fortune telling prediction is a masterpiece from Heinz mind !!
cant wait to be mor efooled by him, any news of releases by the man instead of card fictions?

Out of curiosity what is the other effect on the video, (the one that is explained) that is not in the notes.

Hmmm... basing your decision to not buy this becuase "MagicChris" felt his performance was a bore is not good... Honestly, as you can see from EVERYONES postings, the MATERIAL being offered on this tape is top notch. I really think you should reconsider...

"This video was "the Pits"."

I hope I can be in "the Pits" then. Pit Hartling is the man. The material is 100% gold. Chameleon wasn't in the notes, but was in The Book. I really don't know what else to say that hasn't been said about how great everything Pit does happens to be.

The video is awesome. Every effect on there is really good. I love the cupid effect. I really enjoyed everything on this video. I am a Pit fan.

The heinz was a great routine but all that aside
I trust whatever he puts out

I highly recommend the video for sure - I do triathlon and it's a killer! It gets great reactions - especially from magicians!

Why not buy the notes instead. I think they are still available from H&R magic books. If you don't want to sit through a "yawnsome" performance then why not get the benefit of the material and put YOUR personality on it!!

"The Fortune Teelling Prediction is one of the Cornerstones of Pits Heinz Act and actually the only real magic, otherwise it is a comedy-routine"

Again it seems that inspiration for this effect is from Al Baker, in his big book he has trick that could be used to create the method, I don't say more.

Triathlon is great, but you can't do it instantly with a borrowed deck, at least the way he teaches it.

You need to know at least the color of the last card. If not, you would need two runs: firt one to look for 25/26 cards, and then the second to "Epitome Locate" it.
I think the key in this effect is that you don't spend too much time looking at the cards. However, in that case, there is a time misdirection as you are looking for a thought card, and that's pretty hard :D

Hi, by the way Pit does not use the colorseparation anymore and just does it from a shuffled deck.

Best

Stefan
Message: Posted by: carpelo (Jul 6, 2005 05:43AM)
So he just goes through the cards counting all black cards (f.e)? This way, in 10 seconds, you know if the missing card ir red or black.
At least that's the way I do it from a shuffled deck. Then I do the Epitome Location on red cards or black cards.
I spend 30 seconds to count 25 cards. A little bit more if I interrupt the counting to make some comment to the spectator.

In the Little Green lecture Tape, it's amazing that in less than 15 seconds, he knows the card !! To me that's just incredible, as I spend too much time yet.

Can someone give me some tips to speed up the counting? (besides rehersal:D )
Message: Posted by: magicah123 (Jul 6, 2005 06:51PM)
I would like some tips as well

thanks

that's impossible
Message: Posted by: Stefan S. (Jul 7, 2005 01:05AM)
Hi,

since for Triathlon you have to go through the deck twice, he does the epitomy location first with the blacks and if there is no card missing he does it with the reds on the second run through!

Best

Stefan
Message: Posted by: carpelo (Jul 7, 2005 10:14AM)
And how does he knows that a card is missing with Epitome? If a 10 is removed, then you get the same result than if the deck was complete. (with epitome base 10)

as I explained above, it's faster to count how many red cards are in the deck, and then proceed with Epitome once you know the colour of the missing card.

I'm wrong?
