Here is the patter I use for reality twister.

here I have a pen from the 50's my dad gve it to me. I also have an odd piece of plastic I found laying around the street. After a bit of fiddeling I found out somthing truly amazing. I had actually stumbled across a small time machine. I am not kidding let me show you what I mean. This pen is from the 50's as I said before. Will you please hold yout your hand thanks. we could take a section of the pen and transport it back in time, ill show you. With just a twist you'll see the middle of the pen has gone back in time to before it exsisted, we can bring it back with no damage, watch again you can even see thru to your fingers, now you have to be careful because if you do this too much you put a permanent "twsit" on the future.

What does it mean to you, when at the end of the trick, that gift from your father is now all tiwsted up?

I LOVE this little illusion.

I spin a story about the USS Eldridge and The Philadelphia Experiment. I keep a supply of blue Papermate pens half twist/melted, half normal. I explain this is an optical illusion to illustrate what supposedly happened to the Eldridge, show the middle "disappear", then switch pens and make the illusion reality, explaining that by turning off the "field" before materialization was complete, it left some distortion (then do the half-turn and show the melted "twist" in the pen). I usually give away the twisted pen. I've made a reputation with this, recently, as I've been told this is one the best I do! Talk about unexpected! I've seen mostly poor reviews from fellow magi...but this fits me perfectly!

Best,

Doug

Doug,
Excellent patter line for what could otherwise be a novel (but not very interesting) gizmo!
Well done!

Wonderful. Doug's hit several important points about performing there. Thanks!

Peter & Jon,

Thank you for the kind words...however...(DRAT!!!!), I cannot take credit for this, now. The book I ordered ("Astonsihing New Twists With Paul Harris' Reality Tw!ster), on page 86, has, almost verbatim, my very patter! USS Eldridge! (DOUBLE DRAT!) Looks like Pete McCabe gets credit for this one!

Ah, but the spotlight felt good for a while, LOL! :bg:
