Maybe this is an age old topic...but I haven't seen one recently and can't find a good one in my searches, but my question is what should I use to clean my coins? I think the whole vinegar and salt bit would cause the coins to corrode because of how acidic it is.
Any help? Thanks in advance!

I use "never dull". It’s basically cotton that is impregnated with some type of chemical/cleaner. Usually it is used on brass, copper, and pretty much any type of metal that shines. I found that it is great for both cups and coins, and always keep a can of it in my closet.

I use a polishing agent for brass that is called "Glo". It works well for all of the coins I use (silver, copper and coins with other properties). It's an all-around polishing agent.

I have not tried it myself but putting the coins in a glass of coka cola overnight is meant to work

Also, Taco sauce will work well.
Personally, I use a silver polish since I use real silver coins.

I am inclined to say that the best thing I have used is something that Bob Kohler has posted here before...use toothpaste. I know, it sounds crazy, but they clean up nicely and provide a certain amount of "tackiness" that is just right! I use to use it on my U3F set before it was stolen!

There was a very recent thread on this topic. Try going here:

I have used Wright's Silver Polish. It's a cream that is easy to apply. I found at my local supermarket.

Don't laugh, but toothpaste works very well.

I prefer to drink my cola and burn my stomach lining away. Since I only use cheap coins (half dollars, english pennies, etc) I just rub them in ketchup and rinse them off. I don't know if it damages the coins more then the other methods but who cares, it's only 50 cents!
