Some magicians have adapted unusual alternatives to the traditional table and table/case to perform small venue shows.
Often they have been inspired to do so from previous occupations and avocations. If you have performed this transformation, perhaps you can share it with others. I use many apparatuses from my photography career to assist me in presenting magic. Admittedly this started with my unwillingness to toss or sell a lot of equipment. But it has all worked out very well. The table I use is rock-solid and can go from table top, to standing, and to sitting heights in seconds. Bob |

Interesting issue Bob, I would be curious to see your table. I am always looking for new solutions to technical problems. Maybe you could discribe your table in more detail.
As a side issue...when doing a smaller venue and need more pocket space for rope or whatever. I use two black umpire ball pockets on my belt, one on each side (these are the regular, smaller ones ). |

I use either a plastic tote or a duffle bag, for a prop case, and place it on a restaurant tray stand.

Hey, Alan I just switched over to one of those myself, I put a detachable corner for use as a table top and a plastic box (car battery holder) on one side for ditching had my wife make a nice removable skirt for it so it doesn't look like a plastic storage box and it really works great. I can carry my whole act in there.

Music, what do you mean "a detachable corner for use as a table top."?
Thanks Mark |
