Students were listening to a lecture on psychic phenomena in their Paranormal Studies course. The instructor told them about a woman who contacted police working on a missing-persons case. "She gave then eerily detailed instructions on where to find the body," the teacher said. "In fact, the detectives found the body just where she said it would be. Now, what would you call this kind of person?"
While the rest of us pondered the question, a sheriff's officer taking the course raised his hand and replied, "A suspect." ********************************************* What do you think motivates magicians to go on an Internet forum? 1. A wish to hang-out with other magic fanatics, but few are in their area 2. They like to see their names in print 3. They like to write clever stuff for other magic buffs 4. They have an ambition to teach 5. They're addicted to computer chatting 6. They want to show other magicians how clever their self-portrait is 7. They want to spread-around their own web site address 8. None of the above 9. All of the above. ************************************** What drives an otherwise normal human being to become a magic fanatic? 1. He's smitten with a "Superman Complex" (mentalists? escape artists?) 2. He needs to overcome a childhood inferiority complex 3. He can't tell jokes, sing, paint, dance, act, or do impressions worth a *** 4. He wants to supplement his income from a dreary, mundane day job 5. He needs to compensate for his failure with the opposite sex 6. He enjoys the challenge of blowing the minds of smarmy adults who think they're far too sophisticated for magic 7. Dad was a magician and it looked like an easy way to avoid real work 8. None of the above 9. All of the above *************************************** Why do some magicians become skeptical atheists: 1. They abhor competition from God 2. James Randi is the coolest magician they know 3. It irks them that Uri Geller's nonsense has made him a multi-millionaire 4. It is the only way to be taken seriously by the scientific community 5. He resents God making him a magician instead of an entertainer with real talent 6. They want to expose fraudulent faith-healers who claim a direct pipeline to the Almighty 7. They tried Gospel Magic and got laughed out of church 8. None of the above 9. All of the above |
