I recently tried to purchase Bazar Copper Cups, I couldn't get them as they were sold out, however my magic store has tried to sell me Empire Cups. Ive never heard of these cups, and to tell you the truth I don't even know if its spelt right, but they said it looks fairly similar to Bazar Cups.
If anyone has heard of these cups, can you please give me some details on specs; such as weight, size etc. Or better still, a link to a site where I can check it out myself. Thanks all. |

Funny, I started a thread a couple of months ago about this very subject - try a search for "Empire Cups" and you should find it.
The belief is that the Empire Cups are the same as the Uday Cups - if they are not the same, they might as well be from the looks of them. The first time I handled them I knew I would not purchase them - they are very, very thin and light, and they did not nest very securely. But be warned - one man's trash is another man's treasure! Try them out - you say they are at your local magic store. Play with them! Their size is comparable to other cups. If you like 'em, get 'em! By the way, don't forget to do searches on the Café before asking questions - often you will get an answer (plus more info) faster then you think.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

The Empire cups are, indeed a virtual duplicate of the Uday cups. I have a feeling that Empire magic has these made for them by the workmen at Uday. Or they may repackage them when they get to wherever you are.
They are not bad cups at all, but they are a bit light for me. I prefer the cups from Bazar. The Empire/Uday cups are a very good design. They should be. They are a copy of the Rings and Things Monti Cups. However, they are nowhere near as heavy as Monti Cups.
