I think that TENYO has a retail outlet in downtown Tokyo, as well as Ton Onosaka's magic shop. I'm sure that Hideo Kato wil be able to enlighten you shortly.
Cheers!

I suggest you do a search of Café members in Japan and send them a PM. You might even have the chance to meet up with them to share magic.
There are a lot of great people on this forum more than willing to help. Good luck. José.

I was in Japan in December and asked the same question. Here is the thread http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=41 Much of what they have is imported from America. As far as books stores, there is Kinokuniya in Shinjuku and Maruzen that is in a shopping plaza across the street from Tokyo station (the exit with the old front of the building, the opposite side from Yaesu). I doubt if any of these stores have the kind of magic books you're looking for but you might be able to order them. Of course, Amazon might be lower in price, and sometimes on Amazon you can view the table of contents. If you do a google search for magic books you can sometimes get a listing of the table of contents there. I have also heard there is a magic store at Disneyland, I haven't been there for about 15 years but assume it will be the same as buying magic tricks at a department store. I wouldn't make a special trip but if you are there, might as well check it out. Hope this helps.

I have lived in Tokyo for the last ten years and visit the local shops from time to time. Books in English are not cheap here, Usually the cost of magic books here are more than the cost of books shipped from America. The selection is also severely limited.
Feel free to PM me with any questions. |

I was too late to find this thread. It seems all information I can offer you are already posted by kind members.
Most of Magic Dealers in Japan are doing business by mail. The biggest magic shop who carries every kind of magic is UGM, but it is in Nagoya. If you can read Japanese, you can find many shops on Internet. Hideo Kato |
