I know that DC bought all of the rights from Fearson, but can I still build and preform an illusion that may LOOK similar to the Laser but actually be different??

Similar in the sense that Bisection and Beside Yourself is. By the way, this is a hypothetical question, I just want to be sure that if I build something I can preform it.

Lasar is basically a sawing in half effect.

DC bought the rights from Fearson for the particular and SPECIFIC version he created and developed. Fearson could not have accepted money for anything other than his own creation, including anything you or anybody else may come up with now or in the future.
