Awhile ago I lost an auction on Ebay on what seemed to be a decent mathematical based trick.
In short, two piles were dealt. One by the spectator, one by the magician. The mate of the card they picked matched. This was the only pair of mates that matched during the entire dealing. No force. How is this possible? |

Barrie Richardson's "Do You Want To Continue" in his book "Theater of the Mind" achieves a similar effect, only it uses two decks and you have someone name a particular card. That exact card is the only card in the same position in both decks!
