...Well, it's OK. Nothing too special. If you buy a set then you may want to purchase some of those tiny fluorescent sticky dots (from stationers) - the dots silk-screened on the 'dice' are not that visual.

Surely this is little more than AN Other S&S effect ???
If you want a gimmicked version why not go with S&S or Holy Moly or ungimmicked S&S or greg wilsons Dime/Penny ? Holy Moly costs way less and is way more powerful - got a set made up using real coins...
catch you later

They are giving it away free with purchase right now. Not sure the minimum, but with 3 things in my cart, it appeared.

To me, it seems easy to figure out, but I think that is because I'm magician
I think if you get your patter down and can do enough build up, the audience reaction would be great. Doesn't seem to be worth the price they are charging though, but heym that may just be me. I'm getting them free with my order, but I still hope they'll goto good use Adam |

I was thinking the same thing Adam: he's covering pips, something is up. But maybe that's just the magician in me.
What saves it, in the demo presentation anyway, is the reveal in the spec's hands. Doesn't matter that they never saw all 5 pips on one side uncovered, when the one in their hand is revealed, the numbers are what they're supposed to be. |

This looks like a nice off-beat effect. Nothing too astonishing, but decent filler material.
I wouldn't buy it personally, but I wouldn't complain if I got it as a free gift! In the case of such close up 'mysteries', I feel nothing beats the 'Matchbox Penetration' effect. I've had huge reactions with this and this is something people remember for some time! Just my opinion, but if you don't mind "Cool..." reactions then go for it, but if you're looking for something along the lines of "Holy ***!!! What the ***!!!!" you might be disappointed. Depends on what you're looking for. Again, just my opinion. Take care guys, Logan

Clarioneer I already have holy moly and your right it never fails to get a good reaction, but I'm always trying to keep my eyes open for new none card items which will get strong reactions.

After I watched the demo and read the description of this, the first thing I though was something like, "Hrm...a dice trick that doesn't actually use dice. How useless."
Flat pieces of plastic that "simulate" dice? What is the point of that? If you are going to do a dice trick, use dice! That's like saying, "I'm going to do a card trick, but instead of actual cards we will use the cards I have painted on the bottom of these shoes..." Or better yet, it's saying you're going to do a copper/silver coin transposition but instead of actual coins, you'll use dice to simulate the effect...but instead of actual dice you'll use these flat pieces of plastic to simulate the dice simulating coins...and instead of doing magic, I'll just simulate it. It doesn't surprise me that they have to give these things away to get rid of them. Definitely one for the Drawer of Abandoned Magic. |

1) I applaud Penguin for discontinuing the sale a an obvious knockoff, and replacing there March Madness Deal with this. (I have been a Penguin customer for several years, and I hope this is a sign to a positive ethical turn)
2) This appears to be a fairly cool trick if you are a young magician looking for an easy pocket trick w/ an instant reset. Not for me, but a nice effect for young beginners.

You can let the dice examine at the beginning. that's why it can be quite strong.
