Is there a better substitute? or maybe one I can make myself? cause finding that stuff where I live is VERY difficult

Go to your local hardware store, Lowe's or Home Depot and get a plumber's wax ring. This is what is used to seal between the commode and drainage pipe. You will have a lifetime supply.

It's not "rock hard" and not "gooey soft".

There are a couple of waxes that I have found.
1. newspaper layout wax. 2. Sticky tack from office supply stores

If you're looking for "magicians wax" for the use of things like the card on ceiling. I use something I found at Michael's crafts called Stick-Um candle adhesive. It's the best magicians wax I've ever used and it only costs a buck or two.
For other uses such as invisible thread. Putty is another option. Ron Jaxon |
