Rafa,
Do not hesitate! Buy the Malone series and you'll have a blast. I have seen all the videos you've mentioned and my favorite by far is Bill Malone...you won't be disappointed. |

These videos are incredible. I use 6 of the tricks on the first volume alone... and if I'm not mistaken... there are only 6 tricks on the first volume!! It is that great!!!

Poster? What poster?? Hmm... I did not get any poster...
Malone is great! In fact, I have not seen someone with that kind of humor. I must say, with the wrong audience, his routine can end quickly with a punch in the face. But he some how carries it out very well.... not sure if I would dare to use that type of humour... |

I agree with Alex... I am still a kid... and wouldn't dare to use some of his jokes. I do use his ideas and change them a little bit.
Ex.) Bill's line - Bill: "What do you do for a living, sir" Person: "I'm a _____" Bill: "Okay I'll go slower then" My line - Me: "Well there are a lot of adults here tonight...its ok though..how about you sir... would you consider yourself an adult (to a young man) Person: "yes I would" Me: "Okay I'll go slower then" See its the same joke but since I am a kid, I use it in my shows and it gets great laughs. I use the base of a lot of Bill's lines and jokes and make them so a kid could use them. Evan |

Has there been any item up for review here that has met with such universal acclaim? I don't remember seeing one bad review of Malone's tapes and I agree all the way.
This may open a can of worms, but could it be because he is one of the few pros who actually lives up to his reputation? |

I liked "On the Loose" for the business tips, but honestly the magic is not that good. In fact most of it stinks, in my honest opinion, aside from a few tricks. I think that the tapes would be horrible if you replaced Bill Malone. He makes the tapes good. I would say "On the Loose" is lacking in magic, but good because of the the business tips he gives and his funny performances. The Jay Sankey tapes are WAY better and the David Regal tapes are WAY better. They not only are funny, with great performances, but the magic is GREAT and you could use a lot of it. Whatever you get, enjoy it.

Hm, it would be quite interesting to know, WHY you think that most of the magic on Malone's tapes stinks (and what are the few good ones in your opinion). What constitutes good magic in your opinion anyway?

I like the magic on his tapes. Not all of it is good for table hopping (what I do most), but I also do small shows like Bill is on his tapes once in a while.
Andrew, which ones do you like? Evan |

These videos really inspired me to up my presentational level in magic. He gives great tips on how to perform and how to get the audience to remember you for YOU- not just someone doing card tricks.

Please do a search on this set of DVD/tapes. I and others did an exhaustive review of each and every DVD available. I'd hate to see our efforts go to waste.....

I find the Malone tapes just invaluable, not for just the magic, but the presention ideas are great, even when he has the people chant his name, BILL-MA-LONE with the hand gestures is brilliant. They will never forget his name after his show! How many of us can say that?

Wow, with all the good things being said, I am beginning to doubt my decision to buy Art of Astonishment instead. Someone please tell me that this is good, too.

Art of Astonishment is one of the best series of magic books around!!!
And this isn't an understatement!! These books have loads of ideas and effects within them and great ones too! Do a search and you will find tonnes of topics about AoA. Dave

The Bill Malone series is awesome, but the AOA series is far and away the most valuable series of books one may ever own pertaining to magic. AOA is still the way to go.
