I just found a great way to instantly shine copper! Lemon and salt, that's all. Put some salt on a small plate, then dip a piece of freshly-cut lemon into it. Then take a copper coin, or anything you want shined, and rub it with the piece of lemon with salt on it. It works great, and I doubt it does much damage, if any, to the coin.
Of course some people think you should never polish coins for magic tricks, but if you have say a real penny and a gimmiked one with different degrees of tarnish, you can polish them with this and then let them age at the same rate. |
