Has anyone had any success printing their own (gaffed) playing cards on a computer printer? I've made a few, but all the paper I've tried comes out as R & S (with the emphasis on the R!)
Tried fanning powder - doesn't work! Any suggestions? |

Use some 400 grit sandpaper.

Ray, have you used those? They sound like they could be awesome. I have Xerox DC50 printers here at work that take ALL kinds of paper. This could be a totally awesome thing if I can get that paper to run through this machine. I would be able to produce almost any type of gaff card that only requires printing. I've already figured the combo out for red back bike design.. I've been making jumbo parlor cards for a few weeks now on 8x11 thick card stock. Pasting two together makes an awesome large card with stiffness.

Ray thanks for the link - I'll be giving it a try once I get hold of the materials!

I can't remember whether it is stated in the procedure, but a light spray of gloss finish will make them like real cards and, of course the matte spray will make them.....something else! ;-)
