Keep your modem off, except when you are surfing, and NEVER surfin administrator mode.
That having been said, I also have some problems still. But try it it may help. If you have not already done this, unplug your modem, go into admin mode, and run all your spyware, virus etc programs. See if you cleaned it out. This stap is a pain in the butt, but write down the location of every file you encounter during the scan, and check after to make sure each one is gone. If some do not respond to erasure (Cannot erase in use or some such) sometimes you can re-name them. If you try that, rename them something that is not executable. (no .bat no .exe and no .com) rename it to some other nonsense extension. (no guarentee on that, soe re-write themselves. Good Luck

Ollie, MS antispy is excellent. Symantec anti virus is excellent.
With the latest updates for those mentioned above, boot your system in safemode (be prepared to use an administrator logon). Run those utilities and keep track of everything found. Use the mentioned programs to delete or quarantine the items. After that, use your search function and go looking for the files that were found (even if it was deleted). If any are found, delete them. Reboot normally and run both programs again. If you aren't clean, pm me for some more advanced fighting techniques. Some of these trojans are pesky, but nothing is unbeatable. |

Best solution:
Step 1: download Adaware (www.lavasoft.de) and Spybot Search & Destroy Step 2: turn off windows automatic recovery (ie system restore) Step 3: Start -> Run -> MSCONFIG -> set it to boot into safe mode but don't reboot just yet Step 4: Install Adaware and Spybot and UPDATE these Step 5: reboot your computer (it will be in safe mode) and run adaware first and let it do its thing. then run spybot, let it do its thing. then in spybot, immunize your browser. Step 6: start -> run -> msconfig -> turn off safemode reboot.
