Many years ago I bought directly from Ron McMillan a set of spirit slates. The slates came with a kids routine by Trevor Lewis (I think). I've used succesfully for years in my kid shows. I was wondering if any member is familiar with this routine and if there is someone else out there doing it.

I'm not doing it but I'd love to hear about it! Trevor Lewis is great! Does the routine mellow out the "spirit" part of the slates for the kids? Or is it kind of a "Halloween Fun-Spooky" thing?
My act is pretty full, so I won't be using them, I'm just curious as to how you use these for kids shows! At the same time, I do an adult (but not ADULT)show that's designed to scare the living "heck" out of people (in a fun way). I have been thinking of adding a routing with these. The reason I bring this up is if I did invest in some, what kind do you use and would you recommend them? Thanks, Chris |

Chris,
after this post I found it in the following link http://www.practical-magic.com/ Go to children magic and scroll down the bottom. Is called teacher's pet. I cannot realte about the quality of the slates advertised in this site, I just can comment in the routine, which is fantastic. It has nothing to do with spirits, is about how you used to goof off in classroom you were a little kid and has a simple math background to it. The kids yell a lot in this one. |
