I've been able to find a variety of coin purse sizes at Hank Moorehouse's dealer table, at conventions. He can be contacted through Abbott's.
I've also seen some at local dollar stores and at an old fashioned dime store (where only gumballs are a dime, anymore). |

I have a brown one, a black one and a bagless purse frame to match like in ShawnB's link.
I also have a small and larger Onosaka purses. I don't use some of them outside of doing a show. Also I see nothing wrong with a guy keeping coins that are 'special' to him in a coin purse of some kind. In the small Onosaka purse I keep some common looking coin gaffs (Q], folding Q, cig. thru coin, etc.) separated by card stock. If I feel I may be asked to "do a magic trick" I secretly remove them from put them with my other pocket change after some impromptu stuff. |

Well, my despite skepticism or possible masculine insecurity I have now ordered a Rubinstein Rattle Purse. I have absolutely no plan as to what to do with such a thing besides carrying my coins, but I guess I will find out when I get it and the DVD. I'm very excited but then again I always am after midnight when I draw my Visa here and there and eat away at my daughters college education.

Try John Rogers also...he sells coin purses for the cigar routine, they come un-gaffed as well as gaffed. Those might work for you...

You would be surprised how well certain sporrans will work as gibecieres.

Our Australian cousins offer something else equally 'unique': a coin purse made from a kangaroo's scrotum: here

I believe Tim Ellis used to sell these in his lectures.
For obvious reasons.

Well I did finally receive my ordered coin purses. I'm fairly certain that I will never use any of them. More money wasted. I never learn.
I guess the coins go back into the pocket for now or into a regular very ordinary looking and examinable man's coin wallet.

It looks like a regular leather sporran from the front, but it has two internal compartments and can be accessed through the top without having to actually open it. It's great for ditches. |
