Hi peoples I know I don't post much here but here goes:
Kozar note book effect: My idea is based on Ink Blots - people see what they want to see or people interpit things in different ways or Details that are important to some people are not so important by others. You get 1 person to draw an image the second to color it in ( both using whiteboard markers) then you hand it to a third and they look at the image and you predict what they interprit. If you like this idea you are more than welcome to use it in your own way but I would love to hear some suggestions on what sought of images would make for a great routine and also I would like to hear about trade show presentations. Thank you and if you do try the effect you are more than welcome to use the ink blot presentation David Welzman |

Thoughts?
well you've already exposed the routine of a working professional earlier when you gave details of Bauers approach to the prop. Did you ask him if he minded sharing his routine with the readers of the Café? This doesn't seem much different. I would have thought after the widespread flack Mr Biss recieved after tipping other peoples ideas in his book Café members would start to understand. Aparently not. Magicians helping magicians doesn't mean a free form sharing of ideas that are not theirs to share. bb |

Munger
it's in a different thread I will not give you the link, as it shouldn't have been posted in the first place and the moderators of this forum should have deleted it but you will find it if you search hard enough bb |

Oh save us the time post the link if you have it.
Prove your point. If you have one. Biss, why bother him. He made a miss step and thought (unknowns) were entitled to the same slack that pro's are. Jack |

Let me say a few words about biss book.
as I read about the troubles many mentalists have with the book, I agreed without have read the book. now I got the book and found one of the mentioned "exposures". that´s what I wrote to james: "i have read your headline prediction, where you "explain" the teleport envelope and I think this is perfectly ok, because a layman could read about double envelopes in very basic magic books and one of the many wonnabies (sorry about the spelling) can do nothing with this short explanation. I don´t think that you give any secret away with this." I by myself constructed an envelope wich is very similar to the teleport without knowing about the teleport a long time ago. I used it in my performance, should I have payed for it after bying "paramiracles" ? biss´s headline prediction is nearly the same I came up with a few weeks ago while searching for a weather prediction method, too before I read it in his book. if I have not got his book now, should I have ask his permission to perform an effect I came up with by myself ? just my thought´s, maybe I will have some troubles with others of his effects, have to read them, but I have not a single trouble with this one. mario |

For all those people complaining about revealing peoples material
Please take note: If you demo a trick in a magic shop in front of the cash register to magicians Please don't get upset if people do those routines. I mean it's not like we snuck into Joel's Trade show to copy his material- that would be bad he did a demo in a magic shop to sell the product. Gees and what I said to you before bub in private- double it (and I think I know who you are too) David |

Did anyone ask if they had permission to perform the routine he was kind enough to show you? I'll show you my Mercedes, but please don't take it without my permission. Joel is a very giving person. He may have given you permission had you asked. But, I am sure he did NOT want it discussed on the internet. |
