I'm very interested in guillotine and beheading illusions. I'd be very grateful if anyone would point me in the right direction to any pictures/links/info. Thanks in advance.

There is a book out called something like "Chopper Capers"...has some good bits to make it more effective or funnier. The few times I have done the effect I used one idea I really like. It tells you how to "string" an MC or stooge's tie before hand. Then, at the show, you put him in the chopper. To prove that his head is really ""cut" you will pull the tie off at the second the blade passes through, and that is just what you do. As the blade goes down, I use the French style chopper. You yank on the tie and it pulls right off in your hand...slick as can be. Very, very, funny and it does add to the effect.

Hello,
One of the most mystifying illusions with the "beheading-theme" is the late Robert Harbin`s "HEAD OFF". It´s not an illusion, which is often seen in the telly, but it is very, very, deceptive and looks extremely well. You’ll find it in the book "Magic of Robert Harbin" pages 74 to 78.
