As many members here on the Café know, I am a Pro Wrestler. I have been contiplating adding something magical to my wrestling performance. I am not doing a full Gimmick change. But thinking about things I could use to help me cheat to win. I have used flash paper in the past for Fire ball to the eyes. I have been thinking about an appearing cane to hit some one with. But my concern is it wont last long, and that it will cost to much to replace on a regular basis...what do you all think.

Enter the ring with a floating cane. You can make them yourself out of a pine dowel. Once you get the balance point weight doesn't matter much. Then use it "illegally". Confuse the guy with paper balls OTH and then blind side him. Learn to scale cards and pelt your opponent with them. Depends how over the top you'd like to get. Throwing those streamers from your hands can be a showy distraction then wrap them around your opponents neck in a dangerous display of psychoticism. I am sure a look through one of the larger catalogs could give you ideas. Much luck.

Offer your opponent money, turn it into a hammer as soon as you opponent wants to take it and hit him with it.

Corey,
As a Pro Wrestling mark and magician I can suggest a few useful ideas. First, there is very little you have to do to turn a singapore cane into a dancing one. Next you can use a flint flasher loaded with paper (Papa Shango) for the fireball. There was a rumor going around (started by a magic aquaintance a long time ago) that while Owen Hart was alive he had always proclaimed himself the "King Of Harts". This new gimmick would have him beat up a jobber and then after the pin he would staple a king of hearts playing card to thier forehead. You could have your opponent choose a card before hand, show it to the camera, then replace it in the deck. After you beat him you could stick his chosen card to his forehead. Always bring a small bag to ringside and place it in the corner. When you need it, reach into the bag and produce an 8ft pole. Use it in the ring the same way HHH uses the sledge hammer. (hand over the sledge and as he rams it into someones midsection) Hitting someone over the head with a jumbo deck of cards is pretty straightforward. I hope I have given you some ideas you can use. Corey, sorry to be so late in this post, but look on Stallion Magic and watch the Majudo clip. I especially like the punch through the fan of cards.

Hi Corey,
Many years ago the late great fred blassie asked me to come up with a gismo for the entrance of his wrestlers into the ring namely nikili vulkoff. I remebered to use flash and fire gimmicks. Those seem to be the right thing. There was also Terry Hogan . Good luck and keep winning. |

I like the eye pop. Grab your opponent in a headlock, then expose his face and place a palm (containing a coffee creamer) over one of his eyes and pretend to pop his eyeball. It will scare his fans and humiliate him because you "creamed him". It could be a signature finish to your matches.

It's what we really want to see in a wrestling match, but never do...
