Yes, I believe that link is to the patented Gamolo levitation that "everyone talks about" I do not know what specific updates/changes Gale may have made over time.

Yes, the patent belongs to Gale and it is the origional Gamolo. Note the name which is the "s-type" There are many similar motorized levitations.
His present one is lighter and does have several improvements.

Has anyone seen the IMS video vol. 50 on levitations? Does anyone use an aga rig as shown on that video? Is there a name for that type?

I currently have Bill Smith's Broom Levi (modified to bamboo poles) working well for 15 years now, but looking to get a SMOOTH levi unit. Having studied floating for 35 years the movement style and smoothness are ultra-critical to me. Floating ladies should not "hitch" or jerk in space when they start or stop.
Ideally would like the girl to "hover" a bit when stationary and, and not stop dead in space. SATURN is interesting, but a little too "Rigid" in that way for my application. I build a fair amount of stuff but I'm not familiar enough to try these off the bat, though I suspect I could have MPL built locally. I am looking at GAMOLO & MPL and have some understanding of each but would like communication with those working current models of each. Also I'm looking to possibly purchase previously-owned models in good, smooth working condition. Thanks guys, nice meeting you Magical Aloha; -MikeC |

By the way Dennis and Ray, thanks for your tips on levi info. I did pick up SIMPLEX plans on Magic Auction and am looking at the 3/1 MPL plans. I very much appreciate your thoughts on other levis too!

Gamalo is good but I altered mine with a remote control so I now control it.

As long as we're talking levis, has anyone had experience with the Phil Moore version? What is the smoothest you have worked with? (Funny stuff Rob! I dig absurd humor.)

The Finest Levitation and most practicle to perform and transport is and always has been the original Gamolo levitation, its been used by the most famed Magicians for over thirty years and continues to thrill all audiences that see it.Its powerful enough to levitate a 500 pound tiger, you can do Aladdin levitations, horizontal levitations, and the imagination just runs wild on this device. its worth every cent, and the creator knows his craft. I very proudly feature it on the front page of my online store and carry many of his very finest pieces from his collection of magic. You can make your reputation with the Gamolo Levitation. I recently bought a Gamolo. My first performance was in front of 350 people. The woman I used was well below the weight limit and the S Bar snapped.
Gail was a jerk!!!! The guy who did the welding for him finally admitted that the person who welded the S Bar grinded down the weld! From beginning to the end Gail took no responsibility and showed no concern for my client who fell. He did pay for a new stronger S Bar to be made and the shipping. If you buy this product, insist on a stronger S Bar and use a very thin person. The box / base is also very cheap in design. This mishap cost me thousands!!!! |
