Today I did 5- 30 minute presentations for career day at the school where my sister teaches. I was nervous about doing a show for this age group, as I do a lot of elementary age b-day parties, and I do close-up at a restaurant. But the kids seemed to have a lot of fun. I described different aspects of magic, and showed them a couple of tricks from that area. The most fun they had, where the routines from my elementary aged show, ie water funnel. They really loved the close-up, sponge balls, and card tricks. They didn't care too much for mentalism, perhaps it was the trick I presented, but that was the only one that got a so-so response. A couple of kids came up to me really interested in magic, asking how they could get into it. I never would have thought that this age group would have been as fun as it was.

I did career day last year, they asked me to do it again this year but I declined because this year I am doing a magic circus class. Eight weeks, a little juggling, clowning, puppetry, and table magic each week. I am now into my 7th week and having loads of fun.
